I know I have said for years that we need program guys, but I was thinking more along the lines of a Macio Teague, or a Cassius Winston, or a Jared Butler, Mark Vital, Livers or one of the other 50 seniors on Michigan's roster. I wasn't talking about bringing on a bunch of Slim Shady's. Yikes.

He'll never be an NBA player, so we'll have him for at least

2 years, maybe 3 if he wants to use the extra covid year.

I say sign him up. I think Cal's wants him because he knows

he'll be a multi year player.

Get some of these standout local kids in there. Let them develop.

There was once a guy from Kentucky who was a slow guard at UK that couldn't guard a corpse. I remember him making a big shot in the NCAA tournament. Low and behold we went on to win a national championship because in part, due to his efforts.

Not sure whatever happened to him. This was probably 23 years ago.

they are playing 2 transfers this year

He's not a star but we don't need him to be. Play the Lee Humphrey role at Florida or Cameron Mills role. Those guys were also limited contributors early in their careers, but they have an undeniable skill that eventually broke through as they got older and stronger. Teams that win titles have those guys to pair with their stars. Provided that this is just a piece of the roster reconstruction and not its conclusion (it won't be), than can't think of any downside in this move.
