Instead of depending on transfers, why doesn't Cal recruit good players who will stay more then one year. I don't know about most of you, but I'm tired of this BS, One and Done, Crap.

I think this is easier said than done. Cal has created the OAD culture at UK. He's gotten this far by selling it as such. We all know he needs to have a majority of good players stay 2, 3 even 4 years. So, you have to go after slightly lesser talent than you normally would. Then maybe sprinkle in 1 or 2 guys who are OAD players. But, in order to change things, he's got to stop promoting the OAD at UK. He has to start telling most kids that he wants them around for longer than 1 year. I just don't see him doing that.

Allen played a decent amount. He also will be a great sophomore. This is also the last time I will ever reply to you. I don’t like having every single post I have quoted by you. Just a little weird. Have a good day.
You just don't like constantly being proven wrong.

Allen did not play plenty of minutes, Boston did, but Allen certainly did not.

Nah either top 5 pick or Freddy boy next year. Guess we stuck with Freddy boy.

This is like “wow you argue with every single poster that’s ever made an acct.“

if you cant tell I didn’t have a lil sarcasm in my post then I’m sorry. Point of the post is we are never satisfied. We as in UK fanbase.
Okay, so I've got you down as a "you're right Jeff".

Thanks

I had to put the guy on ignore a few months ago. I couldn't enjoy the board because of his always negative and/or combative posts and his negative responses to the posts of others. This board is much more enjoyable for me when I do not see anything he writes.

My thought is how hard is it not to want to pull the trigger on transfers in the portal because it's impossible to know if someone better is going to enter?

I enjoy differing opinions for the most part of I can see where you’re coming from normally. I also really don’t mind disagreeing entirely but every time I post you don’t have to respond and have another argument. It’s insane. For the most part I don’t look at usernames that much. I know the ones I see a good bit but I knew every time I was quoted by that guy is was an argument.

No, he was actually born in Cincinnati, he is just from Alexandria, KY. Just pointing out he wasn't KY born as was insinuated in the post.

You’re reading ESPN too much!!! Google has it correct. They were on their way to Good Samaritan (Cincinnati) when his mom’s water broke. Little known fact: He was born at Heineke Veterinary Hospital in Alexandria, KY. There was a vet there who was also a midwife.

Apparently it was a foot issue this year-plantar fasciitis which I've never had personally but have heard is brutal and can't imagine attempting to play basketball with that type of injury. Last year it was knee I believe, could be wrong but it was "leg" and he was playing fantastic. Felt he was their most important piece and personally I liked Iowa's team better when it as Wieskamp and CJ on wings with Toussaint at the PG. Bohannon's return really hurt their progress for the '21 team due to his inability to do anything positive but shoot and this team didn't need that. Fredrick is their best individual defensive player, he's got a nice in between game too-will attack and scores in paint and really only surprising thing when I watched and maybe it was due to not following them was he seemed to miss FT's more than a guy who shoots like him should.

Seeing him last month-he had no lift and couldn't finish in paint and was just off. He shouldn't have even played the last 2 weeks hearing what was going on and seeing how ineffective he was--but that's an Iowa problem-I mean McCaffery came out and said he was playing his son at guard with torn labrums in each hip--who does that? What does that tell guys on their bench who contributed? That 2 injured guys are better? Then again, I'd never have imagined Connor McCaffery starting but nepotism has its advantages. lol
I've had plantar fasciitis. My sympathy to Fredrick. It's extremely painful. Cortisone shots eventually relieved my pain. I had to stop wearing boots, and I replace my shoes every 3 months. No wonder Fredrick had a rough year.

I've had this issue also, and the fix for me anyway was surprisingly simple. Of course, I might have had a really mild case or something, and I'm not claiming this would work as easily for everyone. But the doctor advised me to hold my legs out straight in the bed (or couch), put a belt around the ball of my foot and pull the ball of my foot back towards my torso and hold the stretch for about 30 seconds to a minute on each foot. Then repeat the process a few times a day. After the stretch the pain would be gone immediately, but would creep back. Eventually, however, - and not too long as I recall - the pain was gone for good. Now, anytime I start to feel that same issue may be rearing its head again I just do the stretch and I'm good.

I tried those, no relief. It took 4 cortisone injections.

Sorry. I suspected I might have just been lucky with a mild case because it worked so well. Just thought I would offer that experience in case it might help.
I'm happy for you, that your case was mild. I never knew it was that bad, until it got me. People would complain, but you wouldn't really know.

Two Texas kids entering the portal now. How long does our illustrious coach wait? Get a PG and SF/SG and a big and let’s play.

Hey, I feel for you. When the condition was active I couldn't put my feet on the floor without sharp burning pain. It was scary because I run for exercise, and I thought that might be over. The level you have dealt with was/is probably maddening.

Thanks man. I usually have a high tolerance for pain. Not that time.

It seems kind of reasonable to leave 1 open. For instance, we likely couldn't have gotten Oscar this year if all 13 were tied up.
Granted, but Cal doesn't even use enough to have 5 on 5 scrimmages when we're a man down.

I would think coaches, who can generally have first pick, would wait to see who else is transferring. We also need to see who is leaving.

I have no interest in listening to him. It has nothing to do with my skin thickness. I see opposing views on a regular basis on this board, no big deal, but he has issues that I do not care to entertain. I value my free time too much to listen to him.

Not counting basketball the 90's were pretty freaking epic though. I don't know what the 2020s are, but they sure as hell aren't fun so far.

anything from 2018-on is about is bad as I hope it gets. Looks to be getting worse but it’s not on a great track.

I have to deal with it occasionally and I ended up realizing that my work boots and the boots I used for yard work were the cause of it.
I usually freeze a bottle of water, sit in a chair and roll the bottle with the bottom of my foot and also stretch it out.

I also have a shock therapy device that I use on my back that actually works well for pf.
