IU admins would never hire ‘tino.
he’s not an “IU guy” whatever the hell that means.

Alot of fans thought that when UL hired him.Pitino at IU would be a nightmare for UK fans
He's 2 years younger than Roy, 6 years younger than K and only 6 years older than Cal. He easily could have 5-6 seasons or more in him if he's motivated enough, and my guess is he is HIGHLY motivated.
I think it’s smart if they do. Tino could give them 4 to 5 good years. He could bring in good talent there and have them competitive the first year.Yeah, I wouldn't hire Roy or Coach K. They're fossils.
Still, IU hiring Pitino given his age and baggage would be a great hire for anyone despising IU.
nice to see others use “tino”I think it’s smart if they do. Tino could give them 4 to 5 good years. He could bring in good talent there and have them competitive the first year.
None of that writer's "Grand Slam" hires will take the IU job. A couple of his "Home Run" hires will listen...Drew and Beard.IU lead basketball writer with his candidates - Pitino not mentioned
They must have some verbal agreement with someone to fire Archie that quickly.
at the same time, this is Indiana, so, they’ll screw it up. Josh Pastner to Indiana.
My newphew is a student at IU. Oats is the hot name up there from what he hears. Not surprising though.
Pitino didn’t make it out of the first weekend of the NCAA tournament 6 times and went to the NIT 2 times in 16 seasons at UL. UK fans would be just fine.Pitino at IU would be a nightmare for UK fans
If he was there for 5 years, I would bet a year salary that he'd have them back in the Elite 8 at minimum before he left.Pitino at IU would be a nightmare for UK fans
And have another few years of Miller/Crean level basketballPrediction: They end up with Dane Fife
LOL this is your best one yetQuickdraw could wear his pimpin' suit every game...

I know nothing, but I would wager that #1 on their list is Stevens. Wonder how much they're willing to pay.

Most of the 9 were during Pitino's peak. He'd had a decade to build something at Louisville before Cal arrived. Cal was new at Kentucky. And Pitino still couldn't beat Calipari. You want to reconsider your point? Most of those 9 were during Cal’s peak

You may well be right but IU’s got nothing on Sandy Bell and the public perception around Cal when he came here was not so much different, however warranted. Rick is probably more guilty but in a sense it all balances out. One reason Sandy rolled the dice on Cal is she knew he had a burning desire to clear his name, and you know Rick’s got some version of that now too. Former guilt is not all downside to a hiring board. This is all fun for a laugh. But does anybody think a relatively new AD -- waiting for a new president hire this summer - is going to hire a guy with not one, not two, but THREE major scandals in his recent past?
Even a program with one trip beyond the Sweet 16 since 1993 is not that desperate.

I'll be honest, I would find that hilarious.Book it
It might motivate Cal to get off his *** so I would approve.Pitino at IU would be a nightmare for UK fans

That is someone who thinks they are better and more relevant than they truly are. Maybe they should take a look at Penny Hardaway.IU admins would never hire ‘tino.
