Would be a great hire for IU. I believe Pitino can make them a contender again.
We was just saying the same thing here at workLiterally was thinking the same thing lol
Within 15 seconds.and he'd do it quick.

If it happens, go ahead an pencil in IU for at least a sweet 16 next year.
IU will probably look elsewhere first but I wouldn't be surprised if they talk to Rick.
He may still get punished by the NCAA so I would be very leery (for a lot of other reasons as well) to hire him.
He's 2 years younger than Roy, 6 years younger than K and only 6 years older than Cal. He easily could have 5-6 seasons or more in him if he's motivated enough, and my guess is he is HIGHLY motivated. This would be great. Pitino is 184 years old.

This is all fun for a laugh. But does anybody think a relatively new AD -- waiting for a new president hire this summer - is going to hire a guy with not one, not two, but THREE major scandals in his recent past?
Even a program with one trip beyond the Sweet 16 since 1993 is not that desperate.
I prefer Sanctionson but Kelvin Sanctions works as well. It's a Done Deal. And they are bringing back Kelvin Sanctions as his chief deputy...
We're all going to miss the good old days -- that blink of an eye between 1993 and the hiring of known crook Kelvin Sampson -- when Indiana's mantra was, "At least we lose the right way..."
That is a great list of names.IU lead basketball writer with his candidates - Pitino not mentioned
