If Cal left for UCLA

You sound retarded. Nobody said that.

Peoples concern is that the next 5 Years will be even worse than the last 5 due to Cals below mediocre bench coaching, current model, no offense and his recruiting (no longer getting the elite of the elites that he needs to succeed) and constant roster turnover every year.

Question- can you tell me what Cals offense has been this year? What offensive schemes have you see this year? Which sets have you liked best? What type of offense did Cal run specifically the last few years?
Read the posts ding dong. The guy I was replying to did say that. Why are you randomly asking me about offensive schemes?

So let me get this straight, the only way you see us getting the train rolling is with multiple final fours and 1-2 titles minimum? Because that’s what you said. Anything less than that and we suck I guess. One final four won’t do it, no no. We need multiple. Only then will you admit we are back on track. Like I said, nonsense.
You said "train rolling". That's a subjective measurement if ever there was one. Train rolling, to me, means utterly dominating the field. Not going 20-10, and losing before the Final Four. Nonsense, indeed.

You keep changing what you're asking, so I'll try to go back and summarize my answers to your various questions, and ask you a few: yes, I'll be more than happy to come back and say Cal is the man if he "gets the train rolling again". What's your definition of "train rolling?" Will you come back and admit you were wrong when he doesn't? You never answered that, chicken neck.
If you want my definition of "train rolling", as YOU put it, I'd say get back to winning more games against the top 25 than you lose, no more embarrassing early season losses, and maybe reaching another Final Four or two, winning one, eventually, over the next 12 years. "Train rolling" isn't losing to Evansville, Richmond, and to Georgia Tech by 20. And it isn't getting blasted off the court by Duke by roughly 40. And it sure as hell isn't having a 5-10 record in February. 5-10. Freaking 5-10.

The way these things usually go, I'd say it's likely that Cal would win a title at his next destination. And that'd be coupled with 100% probability that UK fans claim say he did it by cheating and paying players.
This. I can question if he will win another here, and at the same time feel fairly confident he'd win one at another high level P5 school. Sometimes a change of scenery injects energy into the situation. Even on the recruiting trail, any "failures" being used to negative recruit against him right now could easily be deflected as UK Cal vs Post UK Cal.

If Cal left for UCLA and won a title, would that be worse than Pitino going to the Celtics first and then UofL?
NO, I wouldn't care. What people dont realize is his schtick is played out. He can go to UCLA and not get any of the attention he absolutely thrives on. The players know they can get to the NBA without Cal, he is washed up.

“Train rolling” was a figure of speach lol. Who knows what it means? I assumed people would apply common sense, boy was I wrong. You were the one who put a definition to it. I thought your definition was outlandish so I said so. You applied standards that no team in the country will likely live up to. But hey if that’s what it takes for you to be happy, fine by be.

you keep pushing me to answer if I will admit that I am wrong and we will never be good again........sure I will. Why not? It’s an internet message board I use to pass the time. Who cares ?

so you evade his questions because he clowned you.

It’s really simple- what do you mean by Cal will “get the Train rolling again”? What does that mean to you?
You’re acting like what he is saying is so ridiculous and unattainable lol. When it’s clearly not.

He provided specific answers and examples for you yet all you do is evade and beat around the bush.

Explain yourself man. And refute his points. Unless you can’t...

Those unattainable conditions of "train rolling again?" Know how I arrived at those? By looking at Cal's tenure at UK. That's what he accomplished in his first 6 years on the job, ding dong. Me and my crazy demands lol.

Give it up.

He was talking out his ***. I called him on it, and he's got nothing. In the sports world, Kentucky basketball aside and non-sport specific, when I hear "got the train rolling", I'm thinking someone means like Alabama football under Saban. Dominating, rolling means rolling. Like nothing is stopping you.

“Train rolling” means being really good. He said it so he should explain it

Train rolling could mean what the first 5 years of Cals tenure was- that would be “train rolling” imo.

now he’s trying to act like you are being ridiculous with unattainable expectations even tho you’re not and he is the one who said it.

He is trying to act like you think train rolling means “going to a FF every single year and only losing 1-4 games a year no matter what” in an attempt to discredit and evade even tho that is not what we mean. Of course going to a FF every single year is not attainable.

But by doing this he has managed to evade his own attempt at a point and paint you/us as the ridiculous ones.

Have you noticed, many Cal fans love to embellish, and then act like someone else said it? Crazy.

You're spot on my Big Blue friend, spot on.

It's truly mind boggling at the lengths the Cal apologists will go, in a vain attempt to try to portray him as some kind of super coach; the only, and best guy for the job in their warped viewpoint.

I'll never understand how a fan of UK can accept the results we're seeing and say it's an aberration. IT'S NOT. How is it possible for any UK fan to NOT see the decline over the past 5 years? UK should NEVER lose to mid majors at the clip we're seeing. An upset is always just over the horizon for any team, that's a given and you just have to accept it and go on, but it's becoming routine now, all because our coach flat *** refuses to adapt, to build a roster the right way, to play his darling 5 star NBA wannabes over guys on the bench who might/can help the team.

I honestly believe Cal sees himself as some sort of guru, that he's so far above the average fan in his knowledge of the game that he has this incredible disdain for the fan base. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: it's a damn GAME. It's not as though one has to work through string theory to understand how to coach a basketball game.

Nothing would please me more, and I dare say all UK fans, than for Cal to come out and say "Hey look, I screwed up, I need to begin building a roster that will have us back where we belong: at the top of the basketball world. I'm going to bring in new assistants to help implement a better offensive scheme and work harder to develop these guys. I'm going to redouble my efforts to get us back on top. I now see the mistakes I've made and I'm going to work my *** off to correct them and get us back on top. I'm also going to work to be more respectful, and understanding of our great fans, and I'll ensure that I, and my team, keep politics out of our program."

If he would do that, I dare say we all would get behind him........but we all know he won't, it's not in him to anything like that because he truly thinks he's above reproach. Since he won't make the necessary changes, he needs to leave at the end of the season.

Man, I must have hurt some feelings. I think most of you are actually threatened at the notion that we won’t suck forever. I think a lot of our internet fans would prefer to be right than good.
Since you gals want to know soooooo badly what I meant by “get the train rolling” then I will tell you what it means to me. It means we are in the hunt. A program like UK (the number 1 program in the history of college basketball) should be in the hunt every year. We have been in the hunt every year that cal has been here except 2.....maybe 3. I expect we will get back there before we turn in another stinker like this season.
When we do get back on track you will all be doing a backflip and screaming CATS just like always and it won’t even take multiple final fours to get you there. Except for ole SmedMoley. The next time we go to the final four he will be sitting there with his arms crossed saying nope, trains not rolling yet.

Don’t overthink it. It was a figure of speech. Nerds

I remember when Cal actually suggested that maybe the reason he was meant to come to Ky was to catch UCLA in national championships...
So. You have to shoot for the stars to hit the stars. Did you want him to say I want to win a few games while at Kentucky.

So now we're shooting for "back on track" and "in the hunt". Way to walk that back.

And no, none of us are happy with losing. Being right be damned. That's complete hyperbolic stupidity. Just another deflection.

Dude you and your buddy asked me what it meant to get the train back rolling and I told you what it meant to me. Now are you too stupid to understand the English language or are you still sore that I hurt your feelings? Why don’t you go back and re-read the whole thing again.
