It's what people resort to when they're losing. He can't, he has twisted my words so much, he looks like a pretzel.

Speaking down to? No, defending my stance, yes.You really gonna try and say you haven't been speaking down on us "pumpers" lol.
Let the record state..
I literally said I would not support the system. Why is this so hard for you to understand?I mean he literally said that even if Cal won another title that he would still not be on board and that he would feel that would give Cal a false sense of security.
I mean........come on.
Who thinks that way when you win a title?
This is how badly they do not want anything to happen that would ruin the narrative and they would have to admit hey maybe u can do things this way too.
I literally said I would not support the system. Why is this so hard for you to understand?
I simply don't like the one and done, it’s not working, all it's doing is creating unbalanced rosters, bad basketball for three months and a bunch.of embarrassing losses, some at Rupp Arena.
No one has answered my question. What if we get to the end of the 2022 season with nothing to show for it and Cal is out? What will you say then for the last ten years? That's all I want to know.
I have to admit, I love your optimism. I have seen nothing to suggest to me enough will change for that to happen. AD is not walking thru that door. Its 2020 tho.
When we get to the 2022 maybe we can discuss this.
Cal has made four final fours tho in his years here. Even in the last 3 years there was two teams that came close.
I think it's more likely than not we see another final four in the near future.
No, it doesn't mean the system works. The tournament is completely random. That's fine you don't like the system but if Cal wins another title, this thing has worked IMO. That would be two titles, multiple final fours, multiple elite eights.
Your certainly entitled to your opinion on whether or not you like the system but you couldn't deny it working
I have to admit, I love your optimism. I have seen nothing to suggest to me enough will change for that to happen. AD is not walking thru that door.
No, it doesn't mean the system works. The tournament is completely random.
But it still doesn't mean I need to support the system. Players leaving after 2 years to go to the GL is not what this was supposed to be. Screw the NBA, play for UK.
It was fine when we were only losing first rounders, but it has morphed into a **** show and the NBA keeps changing the rules to suit them and hurt our product (cbb).
Thanks for letting me know I get to have my own opinion. How big of you.
Cal has had half the damn NBA come through his doors the last 10 years. He's had the talent, is he just that unlucky?oh so now the tournament is random. But god forbid Cal doesn't get a second title right?
FWIW it doesn't work that way. Yeah you need to be both lucky and talented to win a title in a one and done tournament but you still have to be you know.........good. You don't completely luck your way into a title. Well maybe Uconn did lol.
Normally you can pick like 7 or 8 teams before the tournament starts and pick the winner.
If Cal wins a second title or if he even has remotely the same success as he's had up to this point and you still can't admit it worked, then you're showing a bias. Plain and simple.
Cal has had half the damn NBA come through his doors the last 10 years. He's had the talent, is he just that unlucky?
Again, the system sucks, nobody is going to win titles with this system and Cal knows it, so why is he still doing it?
The new rules allow for kids to go straight to the NBA, so guys like AD aren't going to go to college and without the ability to get transcendent kids, Cal is screwed.
So, are you ignoring the fact that the NBA lockout forced Jones, Lamb and Miller back to UK? Have you seen any AD or MKG level players come to UK since the 2012 season? He's a generational player that was combined with 2 transcendent players and some veterans. That kind of lineup ain’t happening again.Except we did win a title...............with this system. You can't just ignore what already happened in 2012.
I do agree with you about the last part. The talent gap is getting smaller and it's making it harder to win titles. But that's the case with ANY system IMO. More teams have chances now. It makes it more difficult. You know my posts. I'm of the mindset that all bluebloods in college bball are in trouble IMO.
But this stuff about Cal not changing I don't believe is accurate either. Last three years we have went the grad transfer route after Cal previously stating he was against that. I think he DOES realize that he needs older players on the team. He brought in Sarr. He brought in Nate. He brought in Travis. It's not like he's not trying to instill some experience in this team.
Disagree, he brought them in to plug the holes that he missed out recruiting.Except we did win a title...............with this system. You can't just ignore what already happened in 2012.

You can sit there and wait like Rosa Parks all you want, but that ship has sailed. The game has changed.
That last F4 is fading. I have never like the OAD thing and celebrating draft picks, but it worked well that first 6 years. 1-3. When is the last time UK basketball started 1-3? Maybe a losing season would shake things up, and at least cause Cal to take a long, hard look in the mirror.
Okay, so if we will never see 2012 or 2015 again, why are you agreeing with Cal's current model? We don't differ in that thinking tho.
I don't think we'll see 2012 or 2015 ever again IMO.
The difference is you feel like we need that and I don't.
These threads it's the same thing over and over again. At the end of the day, Cal isn't going anywhere in the near future and at the end of the era one subset of fans is going to be proven right and the other wrong about how this is working.
Cade went to State because his brother he even said so in his commitment videoOkay, so if we will never see 2012 or 2015 again, why are you agreeing with Cal's current model?
See, I agree, we won't ever see that kind of talent again, but knowing that, why the hell would you continue to go with the current model as if you are searching for 2015 again?
You aren't winning titles with freshmen and sophomores that are project players. Heck, Clarke and Boston are top 10 players and they are major projects right now. They have to be broken down and rebuilt so they understand how to play the game at this level. PJ Washington came back with a total body change and more game. We lost by 34 to duke and he still crumbled in crunch time when we needed a veteran to step up. He missed a bunch of free throws that could have sealed the game. Same thing he did in 2018.
All these top 5 guys are turning their noses up at UK. One of them went to Oklagome state… ..OKLAHOMA FREAKING STATE, and they aren't even allowed to.play in the NCAAT. Are you kidding? That should tell Cal all he needs to know. Stop the madness. I thought he was intelligent.
The idea that you'd still want Cal fired even if he won a title is one of the most deranged, insane things I've ever heard and is pretty much the crap that gives this fanbase it's reputation as being insane
I wonder if Sarr would of came if Cade committed. Maybe he does but he might of seen it as too many mouths to feed.Cade went to State because his brother he even said so in his commitment video
We’re all idiots but you, right Jeffie? You’ll stalk us down and keep us straight.Another one that thinks a pumper is the same as calling someone an idiot. Unreal.
Yup, there's always a reason, we could go through all the guys that Csl has offered the last 6 years, but do we really need to? He's been turned down by every 5* since the 2014 class and that's telling.Cade went to State because his brother he even said so in his commitment video

Cade Cunningham was one. Also, Fox and Monk and Bam weren’t superstars? huh? It's because I feel like we don't need to be 2015 UK to win a national title.
See we agree with one another if we are comparing recent UK teams to previous ones. The good news is that we don't have to beat a 2012 or 2015 type UK team to win it all. Because honestly, in 2020 is there a team that is even remotely close to those teams? I highly doubt it.
UK isn't getting the superstars but I feel like outside of maybe Zion, who was that player in the last five years anyways? No one is getting them.
I still feel given the talent we been getting, we could win a title. I mean in 2017 we lost on a last second possession to UNC who goes on to win the title.
I guess I just look at 17 and 19 and think could we have won titles with those teams? And I believe so. We had good teams those years. We didn't have superstars on either team but those teams were still very good. I guess that's why I believe the model can still work.

I'm not the one stalking, that would be you and Line. Both of you are @ing me, not the other way around. We’re all idiots but you, right Jeffie? You’ll stalk us down and keep us straight.
The contest is, who can keep a couple of pumpers busy the longest.Losing? What’s the contest Jeffie? Tell us what your big game is?
Cade Cunningham was one. Also, Fox and Monk and Bam weren’t superstars? huh?
The major concern I have is the perceived culture in the Ky program that if you're not drafted by your sophomore year then you are a failure. It appears sometimes as if they run athletes off.I hate to be the one to say I told ya so. But I told ya so. Not to gloat at the expense of a program I have supported and lived vicariously through since I was old enough to understand what it meant to be a Kentucky basketball fan, but I would be lying if I said I didn't feel at least a little vindicated after tuning in to another disappointing start to the season. So what-say-you those who have publicly shamed anyone with negative remarks about Calipari over the last 5 years? Are you still finding comfort in most regular season wins in the last 10 years or most points in the conference tournament or whatever it is you’ve been hanging your hat on for so long? It sure isn’t fielding a respectable team. I don’t know about the rest of you but I don’t find much solace in the fact we’ve made it to three final fours in Cal’s tenure only to get our hearts ripped out. That is not a source of pride for me. No other fan base in the country cares to hear about how many times we *almost* won a championship. My final question is this: if Calipari exits in, say, two years, and he spent the last decade doing everything except winning championships, will you still look back and say we were still wrong for doubting him?
my whole argument is that we have no experience to help our freshmen. Resulting in early season losses and bad seeding, which equals a loss in the elite 8.No. Not according to the definition that some have placed on this.
And if you do consider them superstars that kinda proves my point in that we are still getting enough talent to win titles.
It's because I feel like we don't need to be 2015 UK to win a national title.

Why do you follow me around? Don’t you have a coach and team to bash?I'm not the one stalking, that would be you and Line. Both of you are @ing me, not the other way around.
As far as the first sentence in your post, I won't disagree with you, but that's your take, not mine. Whatever floats your boat (Titanic that is).
Well, lets be honest, we do need to be 2015 don't we? Heck, Cal blew it with the 2015 team to a team that closely resembles 2020 Gonzaga. On offensive juggernaut. It's because I feel like we don't need to be 2015 UK to win a national title.

So far, I'm winning.
Go ahead and keep biting that rubber worm captain carp.
my whole argument is that we have no experience to help our freshmen. Resulting in early season losses and bad seeding, which equals a loss in the elite 8.
Sure Patsy Klein, I'm following you around. Keep saying that, maybe it'll come true in that fairytale land dream you're living in.Why do you follow me around? Don’t you have a coach and team to bash?
I admit, it is fun dog walking you constantly. You're pretty easy.Nods. It’s a game to you isn’t it? Baiting posters. Bashing the Kentucky Wildcats on their own board. You are a legend in your own mind.
