Oh, you believe Quickley won't be drafted? That's delusional and wishful thinking. He's only the SEC POY. Those trying to 'analyze' why he should return are only able to nitpick his imagined weaknesses because he doesn't fit a square peg into some imaginary round hole and they use this to make themselves feel hopeful that he's going to return so they can fantasize about him rounding out a super 2015 type team next season. It's not going to happen.
He's not on any draft boards because he's not a highly sought after prospect. With his numbers...you'd think that would give him a small bump in hype...and the small bump is between not getting drafted and being a late 2nd round pick.
Congrats on his SEC POY, Yante Maten was SEC POY in 2018 and went undrafted. Russ Smith at UofL was an All-American and put up crazy numbers....selected 47th after his senior year and barely ever played. The NBA doesn't care about college awards or numbers.
I'm not saying there's not a chance he goes...but there's not really a big "he's gotta go and can't pass up the money" argument. Because he's not in the range of guaranteed contract. He's not a physical specimen where he will get drafted on intangibles alone....I'd argue EJ Montgomery has more of a case on that than IQ on that end.
