I'll take my chances with a team loaded with returning players
Don’t you get it man? We aren’t going to be loaded with returnees next year. We will lose Knox, Diallo, probably Vanderbilt, a good chance of SGA and Washington and there’s even rumors that Gabriel is leaving regardless due to money issues with his family.

Zion was the the one and only shot we had to even compete with Duke next year. Wiseman isn’t reclassifing and we only have 2 guys in our class. 2 guys that are just like our current players. Good but not great. Next year will be like this one at best.

Wow. Zion demanded so much attention because of his dunking ability.... This hurts, even more that it's dook...

Idk what to think about Cal and staff right now. I'm leaning towards shaking up the assistants maybe necessary. So wish Antigua didn't get the NCAA going at USF...

Hopefully there aren't enough balls at dook and we miraculously get some returning players... Like JV, KK and SGA

Duke has the advantage of being Duke
If basketball doesn't work out Duke resume certainly does the trick.

I’ve thought about this for years and just don’t buy it.

If I’m a premier athlete, and I’m considering my fall back plan, I’m choosing the more passionate fans and larger alumni base.

If these kids have to move away from basketball, it’s going to be their contacts, and not the Duke degree itself, that will open doors for them.

The quality of the education is more critical for the kids who go in expecting to play 4 years.

All those people saying UK will be loaded with experience have their heads in the sand.

At a minimum Knox, Diallo and Vanderbilt are gone.

Chance that SGA, Washington, and Richards are as well

Not trying to downplay their great success, but I really believe something went down between Phil Knight and Nike that has him helping funnel these guys to Duke. I believe he is showing Cal not to buck the system, remember that comment about "lets get together and have supper, oh I forgot y'all are not coming to my tournament"

Ridiculous take. Everyone is “K’s *****” not just Cal

It’s ONE team that’s “out recruiting us. One. Should all other schools fire their coaches as well? Should all other schools just not even participate anymore ? Ya know since everyone is Duke and K’s ***** ?
Cal isn’t ONLY losing priority recruits to Duke. Hell hes losing them to everyone and has been since 2016. If anyone other than Duke wins a title next year I’ll be shocked. And if/when they do, Cal’s seat will start to feel a little warm.

I just cannot believe that will be correct. If it is, Call will and should officially be on the hot seat.

Well it's a fact that Capel had recruiting violations while at OU. 1K got recruits before he came but not like this consistently. Suddenly when Capel shows up he pretty much gets every top prospect. Coincidence? I think not.

And on top of that don't try and tell me being head of team USA doesn't help him recruiting wise.

However, let's not forget he somehow manages to underperform in march with the top talent.

Duke will beat us by 30 next year. Dunking all over us in the process. Cal needs to get his **** together. I don’t care what he has to do to start getting top guys again, just do it. Cal is officially K’s *****, if he already wasn’t. K just got a better class than anything Cal has EVER had.
I doubt that (30pt loss) and, I'm a Tar Heel fan. Think about it? Bagley and Carter will be gone, they'll definitely be G/F heavy but, nothing down low. I despise Dook with everything in my body and still feel like they'll flame out somewhere!!

If we end up losing who I figure we will, we may be in a bad spot next year. Short on depth and experience. Not saying NIT, but a high seed type of team that will lose games.

I think I’m to the point where I’m just going to start expecting each season to be about the same as it was with Tubby. Just hope for a sweet sixteen and be surprised if we make a FF. Having the same expectations we used to have with Cal just doesn’t work anymore.

If most players return for Kentucky, which they should, I would take UK’s roster over Dukes next season no question. Old talent >>>>>young talent.

If it’s as doom and gloom as people on here think it will be, I have a feeling that Cal will tell them they need to stay another year

Cal is in absolutely no danger of his seat getting warm anytime soon. Regardless if Duke wins it this year or next (or both)

K is killing it right now. It is what it is. There is no other coach , Sans K, with as much success as Cal while at UK. It would be foolish to even consider a coaching change.

Who would you go after if you think Cals seat will be getting warm.
