Zebras got this one

We are not a team to overcome biased officiating in a game like this.

[ktbug]

Not thrilled with the refs, but we aren't losing because of them.

[JonathanW_rivals]

Officials are helping UCLA certainly. But we are playing bad enough they don't have to help UCLA.

[ganner918_rivals60369]

Refs are bad but we are losing a fairly called game. UCLA much better tonight.

[catfan in loserville]

First time in a while that we didn't even get the 1and1 bonus in a half. Plus their shots are all going in, even the 6 circus shots.

[TBCat]

Stop with the zebras stuff. We aren't playing like a team that should win tonight.

Meh. NCAA tourney is when it matters. We will recover.

[Great Grandson of All American]

We just dont have any perimeter shooters and alot of other things. Hopefully we will come back.

[Dreklie]

Ucla playing better in every aspect of the game, Humphries is not good, Skal is badly over rated, Lee is out, that = an L.

[mdlUK.1]

Refs are bad but we are losing a fairly called game. UCLA much better tonight.

That makes zero sense. The refs have been terrible and mostly in ucla favor.

[Snarks]

You know it's bad when the announcers are calling them out.....although, that's not the only reason were losing

This is just the tip of the iceberg, the SEC away games will be worse.

Meant refs asre bad but in a fairly called game we'd also be losing because we can't hit a jumpshot and our frontcourt is weak, especially with no Lee.

Cal should have coached these guys to be stronger and shoot better.

Oh shut the hell up. Threads like this get so embarrassing.

We've simply been getting outplayed, outhustled and outworked in this game (especially inside), it has nothing to do with the officials supposedly being out to get us.

[CatPhight_rivals65113]

Clueless in the paint is why we're losing.

Paging Alex Poythress. AWOL big time tonight.

Skal owned by a scarecrow.

That's true.

[3 fan_rivals214492]

Just shut up OP

[al.ksr]

I think they're responsible for maybe 4-6 points of the lead. A lot of "convenient" calls are going UCLA's way. But UK is playing like ****. So there's that too.

[CatPhight_rivals65113]

Two words: *** kicked

[GoCats2009]

This game has nothing to do with officiating. We are playing terrible. It's that simple

[TheDonJiggy]

Our current beating in this game has had nothing to do with officiating. Nothing.

[CatPhight_rivals65113]

Can't buy a bucket anywhere on the floor, absolutely can't get a stop.

So many eggs layed tonight, they're too many to count.

Your 2nd sentence is true. Your 1st and 3rd sentences are not.

[ktbug]

We are playing very bad, they are paying very well. We are flat and they are busting their tails. And that Welsh kid could apparently start or the Lakers.

NO ...#40 on ucla has got this one

[5iveStarRecruit]

Lmao so pathetic to blame this game on the refs.

Opposing fanbases will read this and laugh. As they should.

[Cats_2010]

Cal should have coached these guys to be stronger and shoot better.

One team has game planned very well for this game and one team hasn't.

[Bodvar Bjarki]

UCLA has wanted this more from the start.

That said, I am not crazy about UCLA guards being allowed to push off all night. Especially Alford.

[ganner918_rivals60369]

How do you game plan against a packed in zone when we can't hit a shot, how do you game plan against losing one big man to injury and another to complete failuire to show up to the game?

Alford should have fouled out long ago with all those push offs.

This team's success was always based on an injury free season. All ready we have had two. Coaching does nothing there.

[Goingfor9]

Nah this game has been physical and UcLA get away with a lot of stuff they should be cracking down on. They are not the reason we are losing but they are like playing against a 6th player

[Bodvar Bjarki]

We need to shift to a 3 point shooting pressing/trapping team.

Sometimes, a few of our fans are unbearable to be , umm, nice

would love to hear your explaination on this one! I am as true blue as they come but I'm also realistic in my evaluation of how our team plays.

[FilsonCat]

All of the points of emphasis and rule changes about hand checking and impeding offensive play meant absolutely jack tonight. I think we see even worse in SEC road contests.

[Cats_2010]

For the better part of the game all we did was continue to attack on offense by driving into a packed defense. Very little kickouts for spot up 3's. We didn't really start shooting a lot from the perimeter until the last 4 minutes of the game.

Defensively we played the same straight up man to man the entire game. Another cal trademark regardless if it works or not. A team that lost to Monmouth just put up 87 points and shot over 50 % from the field and they weren't hitting tough shots either.

This game required in game adjustments instead of trying the sane thing over and over with different players on the court. We didn't get adjustments just substitutions.
