Gonzaga is a great team. As a college basketball purist, I can’t get behind tiny U. Never have been able to root for the little programs unless playing Duke, Kansas, etc. Houston, Baylor, Michigan in that order.

I would think all the Few fans who want him at Kentucky should hope Gonzaga loses. If they win it, he will retire there. If they lose, there’s a chance he would go to a bigger program.
The inside scoop is that Few will never leave the west coast. He will retire from Gonzaga as long as he keeps them going as he has done for so long. It is a pipe dream for anyone to suggest that UK could get Few if offered. He also loves the fact that he runs his program and the boosters don't.

Right. I have no desire for Few to coach Kentucky but I know many on this board want him. I hope he stays at Gonzaga. I believe he would melt with the pressure of the Kentucky machine.

Having guys play together 3-4 years really helps
Come on now, you can not name even 2 players that have been together 3 to 4 years on that team. Freshman guard Suggs, Timme is a sophomore, first year for Nembhard after transferring. Krispert is the only senior that starts and plays.

Dont think he will ever leave Gonzaga. He’s had plenty of chances if he wanted to.

Zags are fun to watch. If they go undefeated it will always have an asterisk beside it, regardless of how the sports media wants to pump it up. 32 is not 40. And as others have said, they are never tested in their league. It’s a cakewalk year in and year out.

I like Gonzaga and they will be deserving champions if they win. But trying to compare their 32-0 to our quest for 40-0 is apples and oranges.

You seem to have a problem with Gonzaga. Does good offense offend you that much?

Why don't you go dig up some old posts where I talk about how Cal doesn't recruit shooters enough? And then you can argue with it.

Just posters like you who would root for anyone other than Kentucky at this point.

If I am not mistaken no team has ever went 40-0

Another thing Gonzaga did well tonight was exploit USC's weaknesses very well. USC regularly plays a zone, and they got the ball into the middle of the paint time and time again. While it was a little late for Oregon, the Ducks were having success late in that game putting pressure on them with the press and getting easy baskets. Gonzaga did that early and often, and bam, they built a big lead that USC never was never able to put a dent into much less make it even somewhat interesting.

Sorry. Should've been more clear. I meant '12 UK or '09 UNC. Our '09 team could shoot the lights out...Lawson, Green, Ellington. I'm pretty sure your '12 team would run this Gonzaga team off the court too. '15 definitely would, but I was thinking title teams, since Zags are favorite at this point.
Disagree. Illinois would have beat UNC if not for the officiating.

The transfers that are coming here seem to have a high level of skills. That is what is needed. Are you disappointed that five stars with huge wingspans, won't occupy every position two through five?

What? Where did wingspans come from lol.

Just worry about Kentucky winning too many games.

They’re going to get our “perfect season” in an abbreviated weird year, but it won’t matter. Even we went 40-0 it’ll be just the next undefeated season, old news. At least I’ll earn $170 on my bet.

USC was pathetic tonight. It’s part of what is both exciting and frustrating about the tournament. Lower seeds getting farther than they should then getting their *** kicked. They had no business playing Gonzaga. It was obvious.

I thought they'd give Gonzaga a better game than Creighton did, but I was wrong. I can't say they had no business playing Gonzaga since they beat the three teams they had to play in order to get to the Gonzaga game. But they had issues against the press the other night late against Oregon, which I figured Gonzaga would be able to exploit, and the Zags carved up their zone defense by doing just what you do against a zone, getting it into the middle of the painted area. Also helps that they're a very good passing team that only had the one first half turnover. They were sloppier in the second half, but USC fell too far behind to really have much of a chance at that point.

Zags may win, but lol.. Creighton and USC as their 3rd and 4th games.

I just hope my Rockets don't go near Timme or Kispert... but I would take Suggs if we draft 5th.

If Gonzaga wins out and goes undefeated. It will be one thing they will take away from IU that they boast about, going undefeated And I'm okay with that lol

Sometimes I think they're more proud of that win vs us in Dec of 2011 than going undefeated in the 70's

You saw him say Pepperdine on the road and thought he was being serious? I can be bad at picking up on sarcasm at times, but that post seemed really obvious lol
He's mocking their conference schedule. He'll never give them credit, hence the salt reference.

If they're drafting top 5, they won't take Timme or Kispert with that pick. It'd be Suggs or any of the other consensus top 5 guys (Cunningham, Mobley, Kuminga, Green). If they had a pick in the 10 to 20 range, I could maybe see Kispert just because I see him projected there. Timme I'd guess is more of a late first/early 2nd rounder based on not only projections, but also his lack of outside game and not being a shot blocker.
