Ok I overexaggerated. Yes I agree, I said that ?lmao ur point? ...obviously im not alone. he didn't impress any NBA teams either or did he?. Not sure what ur trying to say. tbh though, yes he was horrible for 3 years..you said he wasn't I get that. So what was he? He dang sure wasn't good! ..he didn't live up to his expectations just like jeter! Who I thought was horrible as well! Lmao. I coulda pulled a 7 footer off the street and had similar success ...7 foot!!!!!! Let that sink in ...I'd love to see the statistics of people 7 foot that didn't play college ball..now you have something to debate like y'all were so desperately trying to get.. dissect this.

Seriously man. Stop. You literally post only to aggravate. Stop. What is your deal? Stop bashing players, if you don't like one make a comment and move along. You dwell on everything that aggravates posters here. You're gonna be gone soon and nobody here is gonna miss you. Try a new angle. Try to make some friends and get along with the group once in a while, it's really kinda fun.

Good lord .. that's America!... .being honest is a tragedy these days.. I guess I'll just lie from now on and sugarcoat everything for the fear of hurting people's feelings on a message board....I honestly just thought I was answering quotes from the same sensitive amigo group that thinks they run this site...
Nvm..Ok ur right ..I'll do you all a favor though so it's a non factor anymore and just leave so the sensitives can have there way. There are some really good posters here that signed me up in the first place. Il be just fine continuing readimg their stuff..but there's far to few..I don't needa comment.. It's just not my style or place here to worry about what comes out my mouth and how ur going to take it anyway.especially when text gets taken out of proportion everyday!.. especially to my own fan base!...were on the same team! Lol. nevermind. it was fun ..fingers crossed on bagley...so long...Duke!!!

You guys should learn to get along like me and Jwill. I just got off the phone with Dirt, and I've ordered 3 cans of Guru Gary's Pickled Possum Peckers. Just because I'm such a good guy, I'm giving Jwill all 3.

Criticism will happen when you come to Duke. It's not to say a guy isn't valuable to the team. People say you have to put your big boy pants on when you play here. I agree but that street goes both ways to an extent.
Let's not kid ourselves about Zoubek. For 3 years, he was not good at all. I remember either his sophomore or junior season, the announcer Mike Patrick, I think, after Zoubek got called for traveling, said "he's been called so much for traveling their calling it on him before he touches the ball."
I'm glad he played at Duke, he gave it all he had, hung in there and maximized his talents. He played with heart.
He wasn't expected to contribute right away, and then he was injured a lot. Yes, dreaming that he might make the NBA some day was reasonable and no, he didn't achieve that, but if the 2010 team essentially had 3 stars, then he was the X-factor.

Just like the narrative on Quinn Cook isn't about 3 years of immaturity and inconsistent play, Zoubek's play as a senior was complete redemption.

The brand of honesty you think you're peddling has no integrity. It's not edgy. It's not hard-hitting. You're using "honesty" as a cover for lacking self-control, diplomacy, loyalty, and decency. Integrity means you don't put careless, caustic bluntness ahead of all other admirable goals and then use the excuse that it's honest.

Either the guy just loves sitting behind his computer trying to irritate people or he's not stable mentally. Not trying to be mean, but the best action is to not respond to him, because most people would feel real bad if he is the latter of the two

Who the hell even mentioned Greg oden? ..That's why I usually don't give you any mind.....Ur usuall debates/defense whatever you want to call it include nothing but putting words in people's mouths and terrible theory's ..lmao, but I don't even know why I'm responding but Greg oden did he by any chance have health problems? ..any chance? Hahaha lord
I don't pay you no mind but you did say big z was a bad player and made you throw your remote more then one time and my response was would you have preferred him be like Oden? Meaning had all that hype, one and Done played good in college left with no championship and isn't in the league.
For the record Big Z played most of his career with foot issues. Especially in his left foot if I recall.

Soooooooo yeah about that starting lineup this season!

Duval
Allen
Trent
Carter
Bolden

If and that's a big if bagley commits I would personally like to see

Duval
Allen
Bagley
Carter
Bolden

Only for the fact that our backcourt is thin... have Trent come off the bench and spell Allen and Duval... you could end games with

Duval
Allen
Trent
Bagley
Carter

I know you're exaggerating about the one minute per game, but I want to make a few points that you're probably not aware of.

In 13 games, Vrank played 101 minutes, or 7.8/game. He had 34 rebounds, shot 69% from the floor, 64% from the free throw line, significantly out-rebounded Marques in less than two-thirds the minutes, committed half the fouls as Marques, clearly was a better defender, scored just four points fewer than Marques and never pouted.

Now, does Marques have some raw intangibles that few possess? Of course he does. However, he hasn't proven whatsoever he'll ever be able to harness them. We noticed him more last season because he was highly rated and because he was pretty bad. I hope Marques blows up and proves me wrong, but I have my doubts....and it was kind of showcased again at the U-19 tryouts when scouts are tweeting that he was clueless and slow. Besides the Miami game, I never saw a single spurt from Bolden all year. That's somewhat alarming.
If Bolden doesn't come out strong in the early season, then I think he will solidify becoming the complete headcase I thought he was becoming last year. Not sure what the U19 injury did for his pysche, just hope he is ready (mentally) to play.

If it's working he will, haha.

It could indeed...Bagley would be a gigantic mismatch for defenders at the 3.....I just have the feeling if he does indeed come to Duke, K will prefer him at the 4, and play smaller ball w/Bolden coming off bench.

If this does happen, i still hope Javin doesnt get overlooked because I think he can be a special player... OFC

im very intrigued by bagley carter bolden on the court at the same time.
I just don't see it. Would that spread the floor enough?

And you know K doesn't start or rotate players based on where we may have depth or not. He'll play Demarcus Nelson at the 4 before he'll hold someone out as a reserve for a pigeonholed position. If Trent and Bolden are competing for a final spot on the floor, I don't see position coming into it, really.

We've seen lots of guys playing "up" a number -- a guard at the "3," a SF at the "4" -- but when was the last time a guy played down a number? Kyle's move to the 3? For all of Bagley's ability, I question whether a freshman power forward at Duke would be able to move to the wing effectively.

If memory serves me correctly, Mike Dunleavy played both guard positions in addition to SF..

How many positions did Grant Hill play?? About 3-4??? Anyway he was really probably designated a 2 or 3, but played 4 some perhaps. However when Hurley was down in '92 Grant played the 1....OFC

Grant played the 1-4 iirc, although I'm sure he played 5 in spurts, I just can't remember. He was more adaptable than Bagley would be though, IMO, and that's certainly not a shot at Marvin. Grant was just that special.

It's beautiful timing that Grant was on that team, because if he wasn't there, or wasn't as versatile, that team would have struggled (see 1995). That was an incredible example of putting a team squarely on your shoulders and I don't think he gets enough credit sometimes for what he did with that team.

It's not really a question of whether K will play a guy "down" a position or not, but rather how common it is. Guys play "up" at Duke more often than they play "down." I think Bagley at the 3 is unlikely to happen often. He would show certain skills more associated w/ 3s, but having 2 other bigs out there w/ him? I doubt it.

Yep. Can't imagine the scenario where Bagley or Carter plays at the 3 spot at Duke. Down the line in the league? Sure. In college. Nah.

I hate that Cody Riley (Bagley's teammate) wants to stay out west. Would have loved him to be more receptive to Duke recruiting him. He's a monster too.
