Your QB depth chart after today?

Art has the tools to be a very good QB. It will be between the ears that will determine how good hew will be. Nova could make all the throws too, but I just think he got rattled to easily which resulted in some really stupid plays.

Nova got thrown into it way too early for his skill set. But with that said, I think a lot of his dumb plays was more because he was being held back rather then just being allowed to make some plays based on instinct. I think he was pretty much told to never cross the LOS with the ball in his hands for his first 3 years...thus, he would instinctively tuck and run when a play broke down and all of a sudden he hits the LOS and his mind stops him and says "oh ****, get back" or try to throw it past the LOS. In his final year, you could see they finally let him just play and run if he needed too and it eliminated so many of those dumb plays

Question on Sit's footwork, which was mentioned elsewhere. Is there anything wrong with the way he quickly jogs his feet right to left in place before he plants to throw, cued up here?

This is from when Eli Manning worked out at Rutgers practice bubble:

Manning stressed footwork as "everything," Lewis said. "When he drops back on TV, it doesn't look like he is moving fast, but he is moving. When your feet speed up, everything slows down. You can slow everything down."

Manning also instructed Lewis "about the leadership part" of the position.

"The offense, you have to take it into your hands," Lewis said. "The offense is basically yours when you are the quarterback."

Art made some really nice throws but he also forced several passes that should have been intercepted. For a mobile QB, Lewis has terrible accuracy on the move. Gio just isn't the answer. Flacco ran well and can make safe throw but doesn't seem to stretch the field. Chatman needs a redshirt to hopefully build some arm strength although he does throw deep balls well.

Having said that I think Art will be the guy once they clean up his decision making.

Art is going to make some freshman mistakes there's no doubt, the fanbase needs to be prepared for that. But theres no doubt who McNulty was referring to with his throwing the rock across the pond comment.

Watching a replay of the Spring Game. When asked about Flacco, McNulty really lit up about how the players rally around Flacco and he really moves the ball. Still think he has a shot at being the backup.

Not kidding. The question was "after today". I have not seen anything else. That was the exercise--"after today." Flacco had the cleanest and most complete game.

Now, it is apparent from Ash's presser that Flacco is not in the mix. But if today was a snapshot of a progress report, Gio and Lewis would be behind Flacco. Of course, there is more to it, and I am not privy to that information.

As you know I'm for the guy who is on the field and not the backup. If it's Flacco I'm 100% a Flacco guy. But a lot of the plays he made were plays that would have been over if he had the black jersey on. The other guys had plays called dead. So let's not read too much into his performance though I did like what I saw from him.
