Your Move Ole Miss...............

[Antonio Brown's Foot]

Hawaii needs to be next. Their state flag contains a Union Jack representing the country that fought to prevent us from becoming a nation.

There were more slaves in America under the Union Jack, than there were under the Stars and Stripes.

Chicksy Dicks.

Succinct, catchy, and trans-friendly.

I'm legally changing my name to Koonta Kinte to show my wholeness. But I'm gonna let my white friends call me Toby

[thekimmer]

They could just drop the ‘ie’ off of Dixie...Oh wait...

Interested to see what the Dixie Chicks change their name to. The D Chicks

Never mind. Heh, heh, heh.

[paindonthurt_]

This whole thing is the most disingenuous thing ever maybe. And it’s not gonna help black people one single bit in the long run.

[Not Really a Doc]

So the thought in this thread is to have Ole Miss change their name? Why? If anything we ought to hope they do keep it so they can continue to not appeal to recruits. Let the confederates up north figure it out for themselves.

The first time I heard Faith No More Easy. I was floooored. The lead singer never demonstrates his chops in any of their originals. I was quite impressed with his vocal.
ETA: Cash Hurt is just heartbreaking. You know he means all of those lyrics.

So I take her position to be that no statement, activism, or protest that only began following Floyd's death is truly genuine. I can’t say I totally disagree.
