The real moronic part of it is they are changing the name to Lady A. WTH, like nobody will be able to figure out where the A came from? Geez, if they were going to go this far with something relatively benign you would think they would just change the name to something totally different. Not just clip off the last word and leave the letter it starts with. Our whole society has run off the rails. Its like everyone out there is trying to one up everyone else to show how racially sensitive they are. Its all a big show.

Where do you draw the line? Can Port Gibson no longer tout that it was “too beautiful to burn?” There are tons of mundane Civil War and antebellum references on the chopping block, it seems.

The PG reference was just a random one that popped into my head.

I’m torn.... part of me hates the mob mentality of our society right now. The other part thinks the process of them having to strip the Ole Miss name would be one of the funniest things this rivalry has ever gotten to watch

I genuinely appreciate your honesty. I get it. I’d be in same boat if situation was reversed.

But, I do laugh at the number of people on here who scream “this is ridiculous!! Slippery slope!!” and then are just outrageously offended if it pertains to Ole Miss. Just admit it, like this guy did.. you hate Ole Miss and think it’s funny to make us squirm and uncomfortable. But, get off the moral high horse.

I fully understand and relate. I’d love to be in the same position as you. But, I would also admit why I was in it.

Hawaii needs to be next. Their state flag contains a Union Jack representing the country that fought to prevent us from becoming a nation.

I didn't even know the conferderate flag was still around at NASCAR races. The only one I've watched in the past several years was a little bit of one a couple weeks ago, and fans were not allowed.

Think we'll see reruns of "Dukes of Hazard" anytime soon? I doubt it. And HBO has removed "Gone With the Wind" from its library. I never could sit through the entire movie anyway.
