Couldnt care less. Its accurate and just one of many ways to compare where he came from to where he is going.
It could also be said that he is leaving a program that finished ranked 7 times last decade for a team that finished ranked 4 times last decade.
That would have just as much meaning. Nobody should care how the teams finished in 2011 and nobody should care about the academic rankings.
This is major college sports- there is no room for academics in college sports. Thatd be absurd to care about education in college!

The rumor was that Costello was not admitted to Stanford's graduate program anyway. If so, its not like he could have stayed there. MSU is a quality academic school but will never be ranked high with these national entities that rank such things due to being in a poor state for financial resources that has low average ACT scores relative to the rest of the country. Financial resources and student entry criteria are two of the big factors.
A bunch of people here may not like it but it's the truth.
Having once been employed at Stanford, the folks who are students there and are trained there (think medical residencies and internships) are really the best and brightest-- and I'm including one close family member in that group.

Everybody knows how great of a school Stanford is. That’s why it’s a cheap shot.
He already has a bachelor's degree from Stanford. His academic credentials will be forever excellent.
Having previously seen folks here post that being at Mississippi State can be just as good or even better than being enrolled at more prestigious universities, I wouldn't go so far to say that everybody knows about Stanford.
If Costello were coming here to get an MBA and he choose us over Yale, I'd question his decision. He's coming to play football and we place players in the NFL all the time. Bringing up academics isn't relevant to anyone. That guy is just being a dick to get attention.
Stanford's academic reputation is well documented. I would be curious to know if the football players there all have to meet the same academic entry criteria that a non-athlete does. For example, pretty positive that at Vanderbilt they do not but its a private school.
You will never get anything even close to official on that. That would be getting into FERPA territory.
Lots of statements are accurate without adding much to the discussion. For instance we could posit that you’re a reliable irritation if not outright dipshit, but what would purpose would it serve?
I'm just asking for links to any solid rumors. I Googled what a couple of their fan sites were saying when he announced he was transferring and didn't see any mention of it. I did see that they have a LOT of players transferring out this year, I think 13.

If I ran a 40 like this Cuck I probably wouldn’t say anything negative about anyone or anything again. I legitimately thought he was a special needs person training for the special Olympics. It’s worth watching.

Yes, it's true about the academics. We're never going to compete with a top private school academically, but we certainly could do a lot better than 211. We should be in the top 50.
However, I seriously doubt Costello is coming to MSU for academics. He's coming to play one season of football, which means he'll have to enroll for 1 semester. Then I expect he'll leave for the NFL, so the level of academics is really moot. He might not even have been at Stanford for academics, but at least he had to do well enough to graduate.
This is a good recap. How does someone that uncoordinated agree to be filmed running the 40?
