I wish CHA could generate it's own noise without needing BMC to do it for them. People need to wake up and get loud when the Hawks are on defense.
Hawks in a bit of a lull down the stretch. I’m sure Ben will address this.

Unless things have changed a defender doesn’t need to be standing still to be in a legal defensive position to get a charge call
Just like he needed to change the bball culture, the crowd needs to change its culture now that they've got a coach and team worth cheering for.
I was at the opener, and the crowd would often get up for a good defensive effort. Agree it needs to be better.

Xavier is bad. This game has been very boring and I am not sure games will be that exciting all year. Iowa is going to have a tough time in the Big.

This is as well rounded of a team as I can remember. They've got multiple guys who come in and give actual good minutes, not just filling space until the starter gets back in. Bench dominated this game.
I mean, could we at least let them play in the Acrisure and then the first conference game @ MSU in early December before we completely write them off??
Weird game. Easy win for most part, but was a frustrating game to watch.
Numerous unforced errors for the Hawks. But, they get the win. They weebled and wobbled, but they didn't fall down.
I know you didn't mean to, but "Flogarous" is actually a pretty good nickname for when he's in the zone. He's a very good player and one of these nights is going to hit 4-5 threes.
I haven’t read through this whole thread (or game threads from previous games), so I apologize if this has already been discussed, but one of the things I have noticed about this team is that they spend a lot less time whining to the refs when the calls don’t go their way, at least compared to previous Iowa teams. And it’s not like they wouldn’t have been justified a few times.

Team's often take the attitudes of their coaches. You don't see McCollum freaking out on the officials constantly, so his team doesn't. I'm sure he'll light them up at some point, all coaches do, but McCaffery was a ******* spaz. Initially it was refreshing because Lickliter might as well had been a mound of dirt on the bench, but it got annoying over time.

They don't whine and cry to the refs or their coach. They just move on and get in defensive position for the next play start.

They just play the damn game, I love it.
He's done it a few times when we slam it down. Love his enthusiasm for the game. Fran would be half asleep.
That was fun. Going to be an enjoyable season.
