well, the winner is a win. They get two more lightweight before it all begins.

Xavier is bad. This game has been very boring and I am not sure games will be that exciting all year. Iowa is going to have a tough time in the Big.
I mean, could we at least let them play in the Acrisure and then the first conference game @ MSU in early December before we completely write them off??

I haven’t read through this whole thread (or game threads from previous games), so I apologize if this has already been discussed, but one of the things I have noticed about this team is that they spend a lot less time whining to the refs when the calls don’t go their way, at least compared to previous Iowa teams. And it’s not like they wouldn’t have been justified a few times.

This team understands that toughness isn’t defined as a willingness to run one’s mouth.

Team's often take the attitudes of their coaches. You don't see McCollum freaking out on the officials constantly, so his team doesn't. I'm sure he'll light them up at some point, all coaches do, but McCaffery was a ******* spaz. Initially it was refreshing because Lickliter might as well had been a mound of dirt on the bench, but it got annoying over time.

You're right.

They don't whine and cry to the refs or their coach. They just move on and get in defensive position for the next play start.

In case anyone missed it, you can see BMC's funny little hop when Big Al throws it down.

Remember seeing that live ... was that excitement about the dunk or was it frustration over something else??

Not sure in this game. lol
