Wright returning to BYU - officially

Pope better land a few, this is crazy to lose a bird in the hand. Contract issues or not, just get it handled.
Diallo and Cox need to be finalized today and an anouncment, momentum is needed,
Pope really looks like a fool right now.
That's not momentum...that's a 6th or 7th best option.
You guys are sooooo NeGaTive!!!11
Got to be stressful times for Pope at the moment. His time as the coach of Kentucky is slipping away and he knows it.
Hole. Lee. Chit.
This might end up being worse than I thought. And I already thought it was gonna be bad.

Goodman talking about Pope's failures
Said no GM is absolutely killing Pope and it's amazing and insane that he won't do it.
Pope is, "not a recruiter"

Strike 1? I think it’s strike 748
I'm sure BYU is enjoying rubbing Pope's face in this, and the Chandler transfer. What a damned fiasco this hire has been. JHC
Well, having no GM is going to get him fired after year 3. Sad to say, that is the fix. He is making his own bed to lie in though.
Just have to wait it out now and basically watch an IU team play in our uniforms next season.
Well, there goes our chance at landing a PG that could have been a difference maker. Instead, we'll end up with some dud that none of the good programs want. Pope is gawd awful horrible! Get rid of this clown!
This could be the key to getting Diallo and Stokes
One of his most impressive whiffs, top notch.
He’s a big boy. He knew what he was signing up for. No crying on the yacht.
Unless things magically turn around for next season, I won't be investing much time in it.
Have to think he used UK .. common theme for a very long time .. It never made sense he was actually considering leaving BYU
This happens after Jeff Goodman said “Kentucky is the leader and I would go so far as to say Rob Wright win be in Lexington next year unless mark pope was to screw this up” well he screwed it up folks
I’m sure they’re glad they ended up on the side they did but they got played too.
How in the **** can you screw up 100% 2 days ago to this......
Goodman says Pope will pivot all in on Zoom Diallo. Also says Diallo does not fit Pope's system at all and Diallo is not the star UK needs.
Stokes will end up at Kansas. Nike agreement is the only thing slowing it down.
That didn’t take long, from “done deal” to going back to BYU the very next day
Seems pretty clear that Wright either used UK to get a bigger payday from BYU or his desire to transfer was always precarious and seeing another campus just solidified his desire to return.
On to the next guy. Diallo, you're up.
On to the next guy. Diallo, you're up.
At this point it may benefit us to go belly up and start new. New AD, new coach, and hopefully new university president.
This is hot garbage 🗑
