What’s necro butcher
Had to look that up myself. Apparently he was a real hardcore wrestler type, who Joe thought had been roughing up some of his wrestling friends or students or whatever, so Joe went out and literally beat the piss out of him. Think he knocked him clean out after cutting him up real bad the hard way.

Oh man, that match brings back some memories. I did enjoy the crazy matches of IWA:MS around that time period, stuff you wouldn't get elsewhere.

It's widely considered one of the greatest and most influential matches in indie wrestling history as well.

I'm sure the full match is on YouTube or DailyMotion somewhere because I've watched it and I don't know how else I would have.

EDIT: Well I see it was already posted. I didn't click on the video because I was on my work computer and it said age-restricted so I didn't want to take my chances lol

Necrobutcher used to work a lot for IWA Mid-South and Ian Rotten. Saw him wrestle many times back in the day doing mostly death matches.

I think I have that on a DVD somewhere. It's pretty uncomfortable at times but worth a watch.

I’m not sure what is booked worse right now: tag team wrestling in WWE or women in AEW.

At least we get boobs and booty with the women though.

TK apparently doesn’t trust a single woman to do any heavy lifting in AEW outside of Toni Storm and Mercedes. None of them are ever given a chance to even attempt to get close to their level no matter how well they perform with the scant opportunities they are given.

Definitely seems that way

Mercedes and Toni being out should have been a prime opportunity for someone to step up.

Thekla is the only one that has been given the chance to do it from a character standpoint, and the lack of story with her since winning the title has handicapped the depth of her character work.

But the rest of the division has largely just seen the same people used over and over again with little chance to do promos and character work and not much more wrestling either.

If it was revealed TK was intentionally sabotaging the women’s division I would just like yeah I can definitely see that being the case.

Would have been the perfect chance to show Athena the spotlight

Remember when Roman went on his post Mania media tour and repeatedly said he was going to be around all summer and he wasn’t going to be a part timer?

Then they advertised him for every Raw up thru June?

Then they removed him from the June Raw advertising and called it a clerical error?

You trying to tell me he wasn’t originally scheduled for June and he didn’t know? And no one in WWE’s communications/marketing office bothered to ever correct him for subsequent media appearances? And then the same department screwed up again several more times with all the advertisements for June Raws?

That seems fishy to me.

NWA claims they had 275K for their debut on Comet TV.

Do I believe it? Not in the slightest. But it’s notable because that’s more than what TN has drawn for any episode on AMC.

And this debuted after Nielsen changed the formula again which went back to lowering the totals for wrestling.

If Breakker loses to Rollins I'll be highly upset

I don't mind it but it's low hanging fruit (no pun). There's a portion of AEW's women's roster where promos are mostly "BOOBS! WE HAVE BOOBS! LOOK...THESE ARE BOOBS!" Stephanie McMahon didn't create women and women's pro wrestling for us to only focus on boobs.

would you rather watch Charlotte vs Becky in a title match, or Torrie vs Dawn in a hotel room? Be honest.

Can't believe Danhausen is actually over with the fans.

I don't care for him but I have give him his props
You are late to the party. I’ve been repping Danhausen in this thread for years. Well, not this thread exactly, but you know what I mean.

Now it’s time for Dalton Castle and the Outrunners to get more shine.

According to wrestling attorney Mike Dockins, new TKO contracts have terms that say they have the right to match a contract with departing talent 6 months AFTER the contract ends.

They don't really want to pay AEW money for anyone but the big stars, and those people likely aren't leaving WWE to begin with. So I'm not really sure what effect it will actually end up having.

With them in private equity mode, it wouldn't make much sense on the financial ledgers for them to make a big money offer to someone like Ricochet and Ciampa, who they rarely ever pushed as anything but middling midcarders, just to keep them from going to AEW.

Since Harley's boobs have been a point of discussion...

Harley Cameron addresses the responses to her backstage segment on AEW Dynamite this week: “For everyone who had a heart attack over it, let me just preface the fact that my wrestling gear is actually like just a bra. I wrestle in a bra, if anyone takes care to notice. So for everyone that was like, ‘Oh my gosh,’ Mina is next to me in her gear. Our gear is bras. For anyone that was a little bit taken back, guys, just watch my matches. I wear a lot less.”

No but seriously doing stuff like that just discourages people wanting to produce content about the product and thus produce less free marketing for WWE. It's so incredibly stupid and anti-consumer.

New Japan has been doing the same dumb thing for years and all it's accomplished is stifle online discussion about and active engagement with New Japan online. And to accomplish what? Sure as hell hasn't done anything to grow the company or increase the visibility of the product, that's for damn sure.

During last night’s in ring segment with Lash Legend, Nia Jax, Fatal Influence, Brie Bella and Paige, Nia struck Paige in the head with a microphone.

What wasn’t seen on camera is the shot opened Paige up pretty badly, so much so that she needed stitches backstage after the incident.

I guess Nia’s back to busting people open again eh ?

Idk I disagree some of it is clickbait and fake reactions or recycled slop from iwc. Content creators should be original content not copy/paste junk from iwc.

Between Nia and Jade, the women’s roster has to be brave to get in there.
