1. Can we stop with the "he pulled/wrapped up" Yeboah? Yeboah was the one with his arms out hugged the defender.
2. A case could be made that the defender was "mostly" set until Yeboah crashes into him. Hugs him then spins the defender out of the way.
Defender does take a short hop/shuffle.
3. Where the f*** was Yeboah going? He looks like he is attempting to jump the pass for a steal from 10 feet away with his right arm out.
If he runs at the shooter then the screen doesn't matter.
Wow, no idea what play you were watching.
Yeboah first came through the lane following Dread and was screened by Stevens, giving Dread some separation.
Dread then cut to his left to get to a spot behind Harrar to receive the pass
Yeboah was running to the point where Dread was running to, but encountered Harrar along the way.
He tried to go to the right of Harrar (essentially going "under" the screen), but Harrar shifted his weight left into Yeboah's chest to clear him out
Yeboah's momentum was then shifted away from Dread and toward the passer (Brockington, I think). His arms wrapped around Harrar to halt that momentum, keep from falling down, and pull himself back on line to get to Dread, and he continued to fight around the screen.
Had Yeboah tried to go over the screen, he would have been a step behind because Dread already got separation on the first screen by Stevens.
Had Yeboah just taken the hit and gone down, there's a much higher chance that an offensive foul would have been called - but a ton of contact had already been let go in the game, so it's hard to think that it would have been called there. Yeboahcontinued to fight through the contact to get to Dread, and there was no whistle.
