It would be OK by me, although I have no strong opinions on the specific “best flag” for replacement. The interim flag and ballot flags can be decided later. The most important thing now is to retire the current one. I honestly don’t care if we have no flag at all between now and November....there is no reason why we can’t be flag-less for a little while as there isn’t really an urgent time table on picking the new one.

I just looked at it- why would I be antagonize by it?
...if I lived in MS, Im confident I would feel the same way I do now- nothing.

Maybe I should feel triggered, but I dont. Historically, thst saying is everywhere. Its just something thats best to accept and move on. I don't care if people put their trust in an invisible being that is all powerful and ever existing, as long as the people act well.

Anyways, that saying has been on money, basically said in the pledge, etc. Its been found by courts to not be religious, but rather historic in nature.

It is illegal to this day in Mississippi to hold public office if you deny the existence of a supreme being. It's a stupid thing to put on the flag and seals on flags are ugly. When I said its a historic term, I was referring to what I remember from a court case on the issue. I think the term was decided as OK because it isnt religious based, but rather historically based.
