The red card was BS. The one that SHOULD have been called when the Bosnian guy cheap shot our goalie with the ball not in play. The ref seemed biased to me, and it DOES happen in international games

You are correct. there is no mechanism to appeal a World Cup red card,
Even the guys back in the studio on TV thought they could. What a joke and CLEARLY an intentional roadblock. That ref knew exactly what he was doing.

With Flo loss, USA barely a fav over Belgium.

USA down to 28-1 to win it all. Part is just we are still standing. France down to better than 2-1, like 15-8 if that makes sense. I think that's right though.

Flo is out of the game on a red card, Why should he sit the next game? Another stupid rule if you ask me. Especially when it was not intentional.
Red card suspensions would make more sense to me if they were suspended until the time of the red card. He got red carded in the 60th minute, ok, he can come back in the next game at the 60th minute.
We can make major changes in baseball, it is time for soccer to change as well.

Going to be hard to beat #9 ranked Belgium without your best offense player.

What an effort to overcome that idiotic BS red card for something he just accidently did.

I was going to come on here this morning and discuss how a superstar like Ronaldo gets a great call at the end of a game so he can move on, but a little USA player gets a red card and now has to sit out.
Then I found out about Snicko technology that I had never heard of. It proved Matanovic touched the ball with his head and made the tying goal offsides. Once again, it sucks, but technology gave the right call for the game.

I’ve watched two YouTube tutorials on what is offside in soccer and still don’t have the first clue..
Bsically have to have a defender between you and the goal when the ball is played. For Croatia the guy was onside when the free kick was taken, but when his teammate headed it he had moved into an offside position. Pretty cool they have chips in the ball that tells them if somebody touched it. That would cut all the review time in football and basketball if they used it.

Someone should teach the Australians to how to take a penalty kick. Its one thing when the Keeper makes a save. It is another when you completely miss the goal.

That's part of the psychology of it. Given how it's set-up, you should score. It's a whole lot of space to cover for just one guy. If you hit to a top corner accurately, the goalie has no chance of stopping it. It's basically impossible. But because of that, guys are tempted to try to be perfect, and in the process, lessen their margin for error. And suddenly you see shots getting sprayed over and around the goal.

I really thought the Aussie goalie was moving too soon. He gave away his direction too soon and probably why they scored on him every time.
