Wofford totally outcoached

UK won the game. Nobody got out coached. Point spread was 6 points, we won by 6.

Saying Wofford's coach got out coached is incredibly stupid. They would have beaten a lot of teams today. Our length and strength bothered their shooters and we did enough to win.

I'm not sure what else Wofford's coach was supposed to do, they hit the shots they normally hit and they win, it's that simple.

They were a 7 seed, they lost to a 2 seed by 6.

But but but he didnt take advantage of the UK foul trouble.

O could’ve been better or maybe our shots just weren’t falling. Cal can’t make the ball go in the rim. We just played better and cal called better plays than the other coach.

Nobody is a loser in this thread, bud. Nobody outcoached anybody today. Both coaches were great. Yes, they did jack a lot of 3s..probably too much for as many as they were missing but they did try to exploit our foul trouble. Nick and Reid just played some great defense and made some monster plays. Hell, their little PG drove on us and they got a put back to get it down to 58-56. Their fat boy Center was working down low on Nick and Reid. They tried..Nick and Reid just made the plays. Hell, they even tried flopping to get us in further foul trouble. If you want to be pissed at their Coach for that, then that's understandable (flopping) but they tried to get us in further foul trouble..we just made some great plays, period.

Coach Cal's timeout and play for Reid down low that drew a foul and allowed Reid to sink two huge free throws was the play and timeout of the game though. Great coaching by Coach Cal.

You have to remember that the usual narrative of the OP after some games is that UK shot only nine 3’s and rolled but since we didn’t shoot a lot of 3’s but struggled to break 60, he had to find a new narrative so this time it’s the opponent. I don’t even think he tried to slow it down as much as he just played to the opponent’s style. If the opponent runs, then we run, but if they want to play a half court game, then he does. I don’t know if it’s ego or what but it’s like he says “ I’ll beat you the way you want to play.” It will work mostly when you have the superstar talent but we just don’t have that. If UK would of ran it up and down the floor I think they easily win by double digits. I just wish we would play our game and make opponents adjust to us, not the other way around.

He’s in the second round competing against Cal, who has ALL of those things and maintained the game just fine against it.

How you got to that conclusion from what I posted is crazy. What I said was it doesn't matter who they lost to and by how much in the regular season. In the tournament none of that matters. Outside the first round any team can beat you. We see mid majors flourish against good power conference teams every year.
