Tornado relief fundraising AND we get to shush the Western fans up for awhile? Win win in my book. I’m just happy there’s gonna be basketball and against a decent opponent.

I normally cheer for Western outside UK but they need a heavy dose of reality once in awhile lol. They’re a decent team, likely better than Louisville at this time, so I don’t see how anyone cannot be thrilled that UK made the best out of a bad situation.

I don't know what people expected to happen this late in the week. The game is Wednesday.
The only reason UK got to play UNC is because they were already going to be there. If not for that, who knows who they could have gotten.
WKU has a tree at center and guys who can shoot. Better hope UK plays well.

I wonder what ever happened to Zion Harmon? He's on the roster, freshman this season. Isn't injured, and all I keep hearing is mental issues?

Other than the tornado relief, very underwhelming to me. I wish we could have played a power 5 team, but I get it that short notice and such.

I went to APSU as well so wonder if WKU is giving APSU part of the cut to come to get their asses kicked in Rupp.

I guess that guy saying WKU is the best team in KY the past 2 years can be shut up as well after Wednesday. This isn't UL little red headed cousin.

I like it. I know they aren't a power 5, but this is the right time to play this game and it helps another KY school.
I would rather we help WKU than help Louisville.
Cal did a good job, IMO, getting this done.

this is one of those games as fans we need to forget about the team we are playing and consider the cause behind the game being playeditself. To honest there are plenty of fans on both sides that would love to see this game played regularly and others that would just assume it never happen. I’m personally on the fence and it definitely benefits WKU more so than UK. I just hope whatever the outcome is that both fanbases handle it with dignity and some grace . This was a last minute game for both schools and it’s for an amazing cause which impacted my home town Mayfield and my current town Bowling Green. Here’s to a injury free competitive game. Cheers.

We LITEEALLY had a thread in here before the UNC game how WKU was the best team in the state. But now, ***** and moan we’re playing them in a crap situation we have NO control over. The school did EVERYTHING it could.

And it’s going to help out fellow Kentuckians. In my neck of the woods.
