We plugged a leak, maybe more players would have gone if we had allowed it.
Previous coaches were meddling with our roster and trying to steal players they otherwise would never get to go to Oregon state - Not reacting to this would be an invitation to other coaches to do the same

Personally I would like seeing Miles spending more time with the running backs since he has had more time in Frost system...

Wandale with Spielman and Warner or Noa will be deadly combination for defenses to defend..

Any chance Noa will replace Warner? No offense, but his speed is underwhelming.

The block to Oregon state was only binding for a few days because the transfer portal went into effect the next week. I think it was more of a message being sent than anything else
It was enough time to discourage players from talking to Bray and our former players. As is played out time after time on this board, negativity is infectious. Once we got past Bell and Oregon State's classes started, it didn't matter any more. The real message was sent to Bray. Enough was enough.

Again, it's oregon state. If anyone, players, coaches, trainers, whoever, would rather be there than the hallowed halls of Memorial Stadium, we should ship them out business class. No room for losers here anymore.

I'm not arguing that we needed to keep players that wanted to go to OSU. I'm saying that the negativity from a trusted former coach and former players can be infectious. Removing the incentive for them to feed discontent to our team was worth doing. Negativity feeds on itself and slows buy in. Frost needed nip the seeding of malcontent in the butt.

I actually like Warner at WR. Dude does it all and still has good hands. We got plenty of speed with the other WRs, it won’t hurt having a WR out there that can block or catch just as long as long as the other 2-3 out there got the speed ;)
Kade, Noa, JD and Wandale are a nice core group of receivers.

not sure what the coaches missed there? bell started well, had trouble with ball security which garnered more opportunities for others, couldn't handle the demotion and transferred.

coaches are supposed to see around that many corners? kid looked good, played well, just didn't have it between the ears in the face of minor adversity.

I don't put that on the coaches at all. their job is to put the team in the best position to win, not coddle babies who can't hold onto the ball.

Bell had no speed , hit the wholes then looked like he had an anchor tied to him

Both Bell and Ozigbo were talented RBs. They both accelerated through the hole like no other RBs on our roster last year. Would love to still have Bell on the roster if he didn't have a quitter's mentality. But he did, so not much you can do about it but move on.

I think we are going to find out Mills is 180 degrees from Bell - when people/players face adversity they either give up or get better
