Nebraska hired Satterfield from us and he went on to lead abysmal offenses there. I wouldn't put too much stock in Teasley being hired as run game coordinator or in Shula being a senior offensive assistant. Both of those positions are leaps and bounds down from the positions they had here. His natural football instinct is to run the ball i.e. playground football.
Shula and Teasley weren't good, but they might have gotten all they could out of the talent they had. Both of them were hired by major programs after they left SC. I have a hard time blaming all the failures of the offense on the OC and OL coach.
If Briles and Clements don't produce a record setting offense this season, there are going to be some seriously upset fans.
Thing is, we don't need a record setting offense. If we had a competent offense last season, we'd have won 9 games.
