Although it has not been confirmed by Ohio State yet, the Buckeyes are expected to announce this game against Nebraska as a "Blackout" with the team wearing all black uniforms. These are reportedly similar to the ones worn by the Scarlet and Gray in the 2015 game against Penn State.

Because with the way Purdue just whooped their a$$(in all black uni's) they figure they wanna jump on that mojo train.

Me think's this offense is gonna is gonna do quite a bit of damage to their D. Our O is far better than Purdue's. If we would've played like we did Saturday against Purdue, we would've beaten the Boiler's hands and down no questions asked. We had over 500 yards against Purdue when we played them and they had over 500 against OSU. So think about that one! We will have over 500 yards of O against OSU. This is not the same team that Michigan, Wiscy and Purdue played. I honestly think AM is gonna have himself a HUUUGE game carving up that D with his arm and legs. Reality of it is, we may be 2-6 going into this game, but Meyer and the rest of that coaching staff doesn't look at us as a 2-6 team, they look at us as a far better team than our record states and are very concerned about this O and Martinez especially after Purdue exposed and destryed them last week.!

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but we don’t have enough evidence for me to agree. We’ve put up a lot of yards this year, but only one game has resulted in a lot of scores as well, and that was against Minnesota. You may be right, but I’m not ready to jump on the train yet.

They failed to mention they were going to play with dimly lit lights too. Sneaky son-of-a Gundersons. :D

Minnesota held both Iowa and OSU to just under 110 yards rushing a piece and we had 3 with over 100+ yards 353 yards rushing against the Gophers. So what does that say? Definitely no fluke. The majority of our problems this year have been bad and stupid mental mistakes.

2 big reasons we get rolled...

1. They have a bye...we don't
2. Their last outing they were embarrassed...if that team has any pride and leadership left they are going to try to kill us.

Really had some bad misfortune this year...first two road games at the big house and madison, we had back to back road weeks, no bye week, missed our first tune up game, and get Ohio state after a loss and a bye...context often matters as much as quality. If we get the game against akron, Illinois and Minnesota as our first two road games, and a bye week before Ohio state...this season could look a whole lot different.

How many yards did teams get against Ohio state? Their defense has to be better than minnesota’s...

I want them to beat OSU, I just don’t think one mistake free game is enough for me to go all in. I’m gun shy until we get a big win. Minnesota was impressive, but they aren’t a big team in my opinion.

Minnesota had 178 yards rushing against OSU, Bucky only gained 92 yards on the ground and Minnesota had 218 yards passing on them as well. Minnesota only had 125 yards rushing against us, but a lot of the yards came from their QB Morgan and OSU's has lead feet. That game was played at the Shoe.

We’ll see soon enough. I’m not saying we can’t or won’t win, I just don’t have the same confidence. It’s not just how good our offense can be, it’s how much our defense has struggled this year. I hope you’re right!

Could be a high scoring game.

I hope your right but I think Ohio St. has the ability to sustain loooooong drives, keeping our offense off the field. We need to get out to a lead and see if they can keep up with us.

My feeling is this, if it becomes a track meet, OSU can't keep up. I actually think this may be a high scoring game between the 2. If we employ the same pass D against them that Purdue did, might work in our favor as we have an awful lot of speed on that back end and Bootle ranks # 1 in the BIG and # 2 Nationally in PBU's which means he can cover his *** off. He's a cover Corner and if LJ keeps playing like he has been and he has 5? We will be employing a heavy dose of Nickle as well. We have all the motivation in the world as simple as it is, just making a bowl game. I know it's not much, but that is what they're playing for. They are angry, disappointed and extremely focused as they know they are way better than their record says they are.

History tells me it's 21 - 0 OSU to start the 2nd quarter.

And by history I mean big games the last 17 years.

This staff isn't anything like the previous coaching staffs of the last 17 years so you better get that out of your head as this is the biggest coaching upgrade we've had since TO left!

I think for us to have a chance, it has to be a high scoring game.
Truthfully the only team that worries me the most out of the last 5 games we play is Michigan St. as that is the only team that has a very good mobile QB in Lewerke. OSU's is basically a statue, and so is Stanley at Iowa. Illinois's QB is formerly one of our own AJ Bush and while he is mobile, that Illini OL isn't very good so that is big help for us. We don't have the overwhelming pass rush that Michigan has that ate Lewerke for lunch. OSU's defense while good isn't anywhere near as good as last year or in years past especially since losing Bosa. One thing that I'm liking very much, that we for the first time in years are developing a stout run defense which is something we haven't seen in a very long time. Bobo's specialty was Pass Defense and we were weak against the run. The last time we saw a good rushing D was when Solich was here.

Purdue gave up quite a few yards to OSU but in the redzone they were rock solid with making plays. If we can make them nickel and dime us down the field then maybe our d can make something happen. I certainly won’t hang my hat on it. We have no choice nut to show up and play lights out if we want to win.

I’m not going to play transitive property here because it doesn’t indicate an outcome. The way I see it is that Ohio State is playing at home, they have a lot of talent, they’re fully capable of playing better than they did against Purdue, has two weeks to prepare with something to prove and they’re going up against a Nebraska team who is wildly inconsistent, heavily penalized, with a poor defense, a jeckyl and hyde offensive line and an offense under the command of a true freshman QB while on the road.

How likely is it that Ohio State is going to lose two games in a row?

Obviously anything can happen but the chances of Nebraska walking away with a win here are on the low side IMO..

What about Big 12 Championship games against Texas and OU? Didnt get blown out in those big games. In fact led in them.

I get you're not the optimist wyldcard is, but be honest in your pessimism at least.

And I know im forgetting other big games from the last 17 freaking years. Like against Mizzou where we kicked the #6 iirc team in the country's ***.
