Not saying we've not shown up for all the big games but above is the exception not the rule. What about Big 12 Championship games against Texas and OU? Didnt get blown out in those big games. In fact led in them.
I get you're not the optimist wyldcard is, but be honest in your pessimism at least.
And I know im forgetting other big games from the last 17 freaking years. Like against Mizzou where we kicked the #6 iirc team in the country's ***.
You neglect to mention the passing game. Nebraska has given up a lot of yards and big plays through the air, including to a weak Minnesota offense. Passing is Ohio State’s strength.Minnesota held both Iowa and OSU to just under 110 yards rushing a piece and we had 3 with over 100+ yards 353 yards rushing against the Gophers. So what does that say? Definitely no fluke. The majority of our problems this year have been bad and stupid mental mistakes.
Oh I know, Like I said if this get's into a track meet, we'll win this one. I think it'll be a high scoring game. You neglect to mention the passing game. Nebraska has given up a lot of yards and big plays through the air, including to a weak Minnesota offense. Passing is Ohio State’s strength.
I thought this notion of "they are pissed off and going to make a statement" was a thing of the past. If there is any emotional impact from the drubbing by Purdue, it is one of deflation. If Nebraska can get things going early on, those doubts might creep into their minds.2 big reasons we get rolled...
1. They have a bye...we don't
2. Their last outing they were embarrassed...if that team has any pride and leadership left they are going to try to kill us.
Really had some bad misfortune this year...first two road games at the big house and madison, we had back to back road weeks, no bye week, missed our first tune up game, and get Ohio state after a loss and a bye...context often matters as much as quality. If we get the game against akron, Illinois and Minnesota as our first two road games, and a bye week before Ohio state...this season could look a whole lot different.

From what I've seen of Ohio State, they've got more cracks than years past. I would expect them to beat Nebraska because they have more talent, but not because of some motivation or all black uniforms.
The bye week only allows them to continue stewing on that loss.
