We had a bad day, shot unusually poor, on the road, against a top 10 team, without a starter. This is still a really good team. Some people need to take a breath.
If people didn’t see this loss coming their basketball IQ is low. UT is really good. We didn’t have Travis and we didn’t shoot it well. Road losses to great teams are not to be unexpected. Home court is always worth 10 points or more. UT wasn’t number One without just cause.

Not a meltdown but, where is the fight in these Cats? You have a starter out and so others must step up. Making adjustments when UT is locking down on shooters and no ball movement to counteract poor shooting. Back cuts, alley oops, anything to break down a zone. Just see a lack of preparedness and low motivation for a team fighting to keep a #1 seed.

I figured we'd lose this one anyway, UT was bound to make sure they'd play this game alot better than before, especially with some trash talk about a certain UT player being 'afraid' of a certain UK player. Stuff like that gives opposing teams an extra boost of energy and determination.

It was gonna be hard to win this one with Travis, and we haven't won in Knoxville since 2015. Just gotta regroup, get healthy and get ready for the tournaments.

I don't see it as a meltdown. I think everyone realizes we have a good team that played like garbage today. Most people are perfectly capable of understanding the former while still expressing frustration about the latter. I think the most frustrating aspect is this was a total team effort. Not a single player showed up to play today. That's disappointing on March 2.

Basically same thing I said. Prettt much worked out like most basketball knowledgable people thought it would, UK win at home and Tenn win at home. UK is playing very well at just the right time and Reid will be back probably some time in the next week. The sky is not falling and UK is in a very good spot. I don’t think the loss even hurts for a one seed

We quit and you want to know why a meltdown??? Our point guard and lottery pick look like they left their mind in Lexington and you want to know why fans are upset? We make no adjustments and you want to know why fans are pissed? We nearly lost to one of the worst teams in conference at home then don’t show up today and you wonder why fans are reacting the way they are?

I'm just concerned because we were nervous and panicked. That's not good for the tournament, even though they will be on neutral court.

We just played a bad game. We were loose with the ball, shot poorly, and lacked a player. We didn't play well vs Arkansas either, but we were able to pull that one out. Tennessee is a much better team than Arkansas.

This board (our fanbase) is a joke when we lose.

Nobody should be surprised with this result today.

Top 5 caliber team, no Reid Travis, tough road environment, Joe Lindsay. We needed our A+ game to have a chance today.

It is not that we lost, but how we lost. The whole team took a **** and had no fight in them.

Of all the Kentucky teams I’ve ever watched, this one has the biggest difference between their ceiling and their floor. It would not surprise me if they blew through the tournament and won the championship with complete ease. It would also not surprise me if they were to get bounced by 10 seed Belmont or whoever in the second round.

Why?

Because it’s probably the absolute worst time in the point of the regular season to lose a game.

So much for a #1 seed.

The CLOD has been waiting a while for a game where they could really stick it to the level headed posters here.

Bad day...should have lost Tuesday, to be honest. That obviously didnt scare this team enough...maybe today's beatdown will. Ole Miss on Tuesday will be just as raucous as Knoxville, though. Not quite the same caliber of team, however.

You been hanging around Kybassfan too much. If you are not disappointed with our performance today, then I don't know what to say.

there is never any back door cuts
lack of zone offense has killed Cal since his 1st year at UK.......remember WVU and all of the missed 3's because they had no idea how to get the ball inside
nothing has changed
