And you know EJ will spin it saying how competitive we were in second half, looking at just the second half score, we fought hard....

We won the 2nd half, 45-42!!! I think we may win out the rest of the B1G season...

Yeah, that would be an impressive spin: "We played a good game--our first stringers were competitive against their third stringers".

kinda sorry I bothered attending the game tonight: Couldn't hit a single jumper; guys throwing their bodies; everyone trying their best Steph Curry impression (minus the 3's and floaters).

are we really going to press their walk ons

I was listening to the 2nd half on Maryland radio network.
At times they were laughing at us, and joking when the scrubs were getting their points.

When we started to press with several minutes left, they couldn't believe it.

frustrate the hell out of anyone that knows anything about basketball?
1984 please expound,
So the point, Can Eddie Jordon Coach? or is his hands tied with poor players which by the way he has recruited almost all?
I do not know BB but his coaching just does not seem to resonate with players. As they make the same mistakes game after game and season after season.
HELP some one must know BB is it the coach or the kids.
NO it is not money or facilities!

It was strange to me that so often the Rutgers players took off to the other end of the court after a shot rather than working for an offensive rebound. For a while it almost looked as though the Maryland players were fighting each other for the rebound, maybe not realizing that there was nobody there but Terps.

I'm a basketball idiot compared to Eddie Jordan, but I can't think of why he would do that. It's not just fighting for rebounds, it's a matter of not giving your opponent a chance to bolt up the court and score quickly.

We have had a problem with teams beating us down the court and getting too many points in transition. If there was an emphasis on limiting run outs than not going after offensive rebounds was understandable. Not going after OREBs might leave 3-4 off them off the table, but it could save us 3-4 fold by not giving up fast break points.....also add in the fatigue toll on our 2 tall players and it all makes sense.

Makes sense, thanks. Like I said, Eddie Jordan is smarter than I am...:)
