Basing it off “who I wouldn’t want to face in the opening round”…
Benet
Woodstock Marian
Simeon

If I were playing for a 7A playoff team, I would be relieved if I saw Benet lining up against me. They barely beat 1A Lena-Winslow, who probably had all starters playing both ways, they lost to Marmion, and they got smoked by Glenbard North. Why wouldn't you want to play them, especially in such a large playoff class?
And nothing against Benet. I think highly of the school, but they aren't a good football program.
Isn't Elgin 8A?
I stopped by for a few minutes to watch them at Aurora Christian and it was a running clock in the first half and AC is not a top 10 2A team.
Elgin has won 4 conference games since.
Holy smokes is the The Upstate 8 epically bad.
Very familiar with the Elgin football program and the UEC.
It was more of a cheap shot, because the post you replied to was about 7A. Hence the winking emoji.
I hope you didn't pay money to see Elgin play....
Some neighborhood social media posts have popped up in my sphere complaining about potential parking issues with Larkin's new field opening up. Gave me quite the chuckle.
