If I were playing for a 7A playoff team, I would be relieved if I saw Benet lining up against me. They barely beat 1A Lena-Winslow, who probably had all starters playing both ways, they lost to Marmion, and they got smoked by Glenbard North. Why wouldn't you want to play them, especially in such a large playoff class?

And nothing against Benet. I think highly of the school, but they aren't a good football program.

I stopped by for a few minutes to watch them at Aurora Christian and it was a running clock in the first half and AC is not a top 10 2A team.

Elgin has won 4 conference games since.

Holy smokes is the The Upstate 8 epically bad.
