I did not vote for "Call to change his philosophy" because that's not going to happen. I would've voted that way a few years ago, but now? Not so much.

I did vote for that option but kind of agree with you. I doubt he will change his philosophy at all and we will continue to see more of what we have seen lately. I've always been a big Cal supporter but I have to say that my allegiance has taken a big hit. We definitely need something different to happen but not sure that can be with Cal any longer.

I support the coach. We've been in the mix every year except when Noel was hurt. I think It's a bad idea to want the coach to go after a 1-3 start. He deserves the benefit of the doubt given the success in his tenure.

That being said I understand the frustration. I thought the defense was really good against Kansas in the first half. Last night the team looked like it didn't know what the word meant. The offense was better except for the turnovers.
This team has a long way to go. Maybe Keon can bring some toughness when he returns.

My vote is very much wishful thinking. OAD must be revamped. I know cal won't do it, though. I give him 2 more years of this before I'm read to fire him.

The closest I am would be the 3rd option. But it’s not one and done I’m particularly concerned about. I’ve said for quite a few years that Cal could not win 6 games in the tournament realistically playing grinders. He’s not tactically smart enough and more importantly his kids are too young and inexperienced for that. Why he will not use his remarkable talent for recruiting tremendous athletes is beyond me. I despise Rick Pitino as a person. Pitino would have at least 3 national championships with the personnel Cal has brought to Kentucky. Using a variation of pressure defense and relentless depth to wear people out and actually finish them when they’re done. He also actually knows how to construct an offense to effectively make the 3 a weapon. Not an afterthought. Cal will never change his coaching philosophy in any meaningful way. That’s why i hope this season is his last one.

I dont believe he will change, and honestly, his offense is absolutely miserable to watch. And that's not recent...its always been bad. Where's the "fast paste"

One and done is part of the game if we are going to go after top ten recruits . My desire is a total revamp of the offense . Take some pure shooters even if they are not tremendous athletes . But it’s not going to happen .

I voted for "Like Cal and want him to stay, but change is OAD philosophy to be more sustainable."

I believe Cal needs a chance to change his ways but if he refuses then I guess there needs to be a new hire. But not sure who we will get.

The two things that need to change is his OAD recruiting (obviously) and hire better Asst. Coaches. The only one that needs to stay is John Robic.

I will wait until the end of the season and go from there. Right now this sucks, and if we continue on and have a brand new team again next season I think the fan base completely breaks. But 2014 and 2015 taught me to wait for the season to end before going too negative or positive.

OAD isn’t the problem. We have to be able to keep the 2-4 year players . When half your roster wants to leave regardless if they get drafted it’s a HUGE problem. Scouting is also a huge problem

He is working with two new assistants this year. But I agree otherwise.

Well we tried .. brought in Grady and he wilted under the pressure .. the pressure of Cal's pitiful offense

So Grady clanked all those shots because of Cal??

Cal can leave tomorrow as far as I’m concerned, but CD syndrome is alive and well.

Cal isn't going to change ,he would repeat the Sharpe fiasco tomorrow if the right player came along. His lack of or limited ability to make in game adjustments will be with him as long as he coaches. His attitude toward the fans isn't going to change. His standard one liners and talking points are going to remain the same. Why would we want to keep him around any longer than it would take to work out an exit plan

Keeping CCC and expecting him to change is prolonging the misery. Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome is a waste of time. He is set in his ways, he got to the Hall doing it his way, why would his ego lend him to believe he needs to change? Modern basketball has passed him by and he never saw it coming or going. We need a change and let him start his retirement.

It’s fishing weather! Turkey season right around the coroner. My 6 and 3 year old have started soccer and baseball. First sports for them since Covid. Life is great. Focusing on them. I’ve been a UK fan since birth. But at the end of the day, it’s entertainment. My life doesn’t change if we win or not. My life also doesn’t change, when a 18-21 year old that I have never meet, decides to come back or go to the NBA. Life is to short to set around and wonder how other are spending there life.
Around October, I’ll start thinking about basketball again.
