When did this team peak?

When do you think this team peaked, or did it ever? I'm inclined to think that even though we won 38 straight we just never saw the full potential of this team for any five-8 game portion of the year.

honestly, I don't think they ever did...

when talent like this team "Peaks" nothing is left in their wake...

if all things are clicking for a squad like this...Notre Dame and Wisconsin don't get a sniff of hope...

Only games I saw them absolutely dominate were UCLA and WVU ... the rest seemed like they were just out there playing ball. We should have destroyed the terrible SEC without any close games.

i don't think they ever did. i kept waiting for them to put it together on offense and start scoring in the 70-80+ range, but it never happened. that's why i feel they just never played to their potential. jmo

I think that more than most people are willing to admit that after Alex got hurt we lost a big cog in the machine...

In the interest of playing everybody, some people played more than they should, and some people were playing out of position. We also had a lot of guys with consistent limitations. The Harrisons weren't efficient scorers. Ulis and Booker could shoot, but they weren't consistent threats inside the arc. Outside of Karl, none of our bigs were consistent scoring threats. Lyles and Poythress were power forwards that we were trying to force into being a wing.

We were still in a position to win, we just didn't execute at the end.
