I've always agreed to pay it through their college. My oldest is quitting early (for a good reason). I'm enjoying that.

I paid till 18 or until graduation, high school, my son took an extra year ..lol
Daughter finished at 16 & started college early .
I will still help them , but it don't go to her & I'm not legally obligated to do so . I told both , what I do for you will be a direct result of what you do for yourself. They both work alot & are pretty good young adults .

So... because of my Asheville trips, I've become a craft beer aficionado. The tours are something else.

Ever been to Biltmore? I haven't but I it's near there and I hear it's nice.

Asheville, NC is in western NC for the person that asked. Harry Anderson, the guy that played Judge Harry Stone on Night Court and that died recently, lived in Asheville, NC. I've never been there but I hear it's a pretty interesting place.

Where is Asheville?

Asheville NC. Little San Fran of the east. Probably most lib town of the east, also.

But the people watching is incredible, and there are 50 craft beer companies with over 130 different brews surviving in Ashe County.

Yes Coop, New Belgium is there. It's not in my top 5 at present...

Highland
Hi-Wire
White Labs
Green Man
Wicked Weed (may have to drop, Anheiser bought them)

I'm big into craft beers, and even make my own a few times a year. There's about 15 or so breweries within 20 minutes of my house, and probably 50-60 within an hour's drive. Problem being, it's difficult to drive after spending quality time at a brewery. Thankfully, wife is willing to do the driving but not always. Anyways, Asheville was a place I was thinking of moving to in a few years to retire, all due to the beer scene there. However, you just ruined it for me, as I didn't know it was SF East. Also looking at Northern Georgia, like Blue Ridge or Blairsville, so that's probably it for me. At least there, I can buy my new SUV from @atlkvb and even drink some beers with him while we're making fun of CR89.

Even though it's that lefty, it's still a great town. If I don't move to Florida after the kids are out of the house, Asheville is a close second for me.

WTF is wrong with you, for real? Florida??

Other than you might get eaten by a gator, what's the problem with Florida? It's pretty big and diverse so you could pick the part you like and live there.

Heat. Humidity. Mosquitoes. The citizens.

Gulf coast, in a rural area, not far from wife's family, work remote, and fish and drink craft beer for the rest of my life. What's the problem?

Is that what I've heard called L.A.? L.A. stands for "Lower Alabama." I don't know if that's meant as a putdown or a matter of fact description.

Probably so. I honeymooned on an island on Gulf Coast that you had to get there by boat. That would be perfection. Temps are mid 80's this week, and 70% humidity. North Carolina is a little bit warmer. It's not Orlando-Hell.

Yes, it's called L.A. I frequent PCB quite a bit, as well as the 30A area, and have heard folks refer to the area as L.A. quite a bit. I think it's a combination of a couple of things - one, Alabama people flock to the beaches in groves, and are typically decked out in Crimson Tide gear, and two, rednecks are rednecks, and pretty much the same anywhere you go in this country. By redneck, I mean good country folk.

I think it's generally considered more of a put down to the rest of Florida. The rwst of Florida is comprised mostly of transplants.

I don't dislike that area to visit. I'm not sure I'd want to live there. My mother spent her last 5 or so years in that part of Florida. She liked it well enough, but the heat and humidity in the summer get to me. This dry Colorado living has made me hate humidity a lot.

Isn't Bruges in Belgium?

I don't think I'd do Belgium. Bavaria seems like a better option for a week of beer swilling to me.

I think my preference would be to spend a week doing whiskey tours in Kentucky if I was going to do a week of steady drinking.

What about a Hellcat? $1400 per month might cover car, insurance, gas, and tickets.

Rio is a fun place to be a single man.

I’d choose the WVU Home & Away game mission.

That sounds like a winning combo. I'm curious to see the new bronco too.
