Saban is going for #7. He won't quit until he gets the record that will not likely be broken. There is a difference between dominating consistently and winning every NC.

"Hey, here's an idea...let's have our skinny kicker be the lead blocker on a run up the middle on a 4th and 6 (though effectively 4th and 13) against the country's best D-line. Clemson's front 4 on the DL is awesome and created havoc the entire game. That freed up the rest of the defense to make plays.

I think Nick’s only move is to hire a co-D cord and have him basically run the show and let Tosh keep the title cause he can’t continue to allow Tosh to run the the show. This year’s Bama Defense was the most undisciplined D I’ve ever seen under Nick. You could see UGA & OU getting in their heads. And Clemson basically destroyed them

If Tosh leaves, as good as Saban is a recruiter and as high of a brand Bama football is, it will still lose a lot on the recruiting trail.
