It is my understanding that there are conversations being had to remove Joe Moorhead as head coach between high level boosters and the administration. John Cohen and Mark Keenum are open to moving on after discussions over the state of the program.

Well... guess we’ll see. I have a hard time seeing a move in January rather than November though.

Not falling for it this time.

Didn't you have Moorhead going to Rutgers? Boston College?

I could see it. I’m 180 from where I was post-egg bowl. Lack of team discipline and the team being worse after every off week(s) made it clear to me that he has to go. How can you actually get worse the more prep time and coaching you get? It’s fundamentally broken and Joe touting positives in post game pressers tells me that he’s completely unaware.

One of those involved in the discussions.

Did you get permission from that person to put it out on a public message board? Are you the only person that this person shared this info with, or is this person telling everybody? Are you burning your source because you're sharing information that he gave you in confidence?

This is why you never allow a rivalry game dictate a coaching change.

That said, even though the timing of this is wierd AF, I'd be pumped to see a change, cuz it's obvious jomo mofo for sure ain't gonna get it done

Here's the thing...

A lot of us want to see a change. I'd do cartwheels if it happened. And the fallout right now is so bad, I don't know how you come back from it. Even Rosie yesterday called for a coaching change, so it's possible he knows something.

But the OP here? He doesn't know a damn thing. If someone involved in the discussion is feeding him info, he wouldn't be running straight to a public message board to post it.

But rumors are encouraged, so we'll see.

And why are you downvoting questions? You could just, you know, answer the questions.

Yeah, if he stays, it's going to be tough seeing another unprepared, undisciplined team like we've seen for the past 2 years.

What is more likely to happen is Joe make some changes on his staff, including an Offensive Coordinator to appease the masses and try to plug the dam. There are too many fractures though. It won’t change a damn thing.

I don’t see Cohen making the big move unless he himself is under a ton of immediate pressure or told to get out of the way.

Just don’t see it.

I didn’t downvote anything. Just relaying what I’ve heard. Nothing I have brought to this board or any board is fabricated. Hand up, I admit that I rush to post info to share. Just trying to give the fan base some hope bc with Moorhead there is none.

You're probably right. Cohen is going to think it's a reflection on him if he make a move on Moorhead right now.

Well you've damn sure given me some hope. It should tell you something that this rumor has gotten me more excited than any other point this season...even before the season started.

Eta: damn it's gonna be crushing when we find out this is ********.

We have gotten worse as a program virtually every day that he has been the head coach. We need to make a change. If we don’t make one now, we will just be making one in 10-11 months anyway.

That said, fully expect Moorhead to be back for 2020. Our admin doesn’t have the backbone to do what needs to be done until the program is completely run into the ground- and no, I am not just talking about Cohen. Please prove me wrong though.

That’s exactly how it started at OM, for what it’s worth. The Gay/Shrader deal may be the spark that ignites that fire, similar to the Elijah Moore deal. When the true money folks start talking, AD’s and Presidents start listening. Especially when they have a good “extra reason” such as the situations mentioned.

Considering the cluster that our program has become, if there are no "conversations" , and Cohen and Keenum are not "open to moving on" , they are either more stubborn than Croom, or more incompetent than Moorhead.

I get so sick and tired of these “sources say” that it’s unbearable. All it does is get my hopes up time and time again. The ONLY way this happens is if the big money players have a hand in it but Cohen himself doesn’t have the nuts to pull the trigger. Plus I don’t trust Cohen to make a new hire even if it does happen.

Keenum more than pissed about the fight still not happy about the MCB and the season in general
