Barr did not like Mueller's letter and was pissed because Mueller shoved it in his face. Rest assured that Mueller wrote that letter and I'm sure that Mueller would tell anyone as much.

You can rest assured that Muller did not write that letter. He may have requested it, made edits and signed it but he did not write it. Politics are all about messaging and keeping a narrative alive until it is no longer needed. In the case of the Muller report, it needs to stay front and center until the dems can regain control of their primary mess, among other things.

So Mueller leaked his letter to the press?

Whatever he felt compelled him to write the letter to Barr about his summary. I think that is important.
The letter is also public now.

I guess we need more political drama so you clowns can shift your outrage to a different pile of ****.

Funny, seems to me it was all about you wanting to see whar Mueller said until he actually said it and now you want more.
Honestly, when I read the report, I saw plenty that made me question the actions of the Trump campaign and possible collusion with Russia. I never thought legitimate evidence would be found, short of a high ranking member (Manafort, DJTJ, even Stone) rolling over. But the report revealed more circumstantial evidence of wrongdoing than I thought it would.

I’m addition, I think Mueller was clearly identifying that “collusion” was not something he could charge. And he outlined several instances of collusion between the campaign and the Russian government.

Mueller found the Trump campaign clear of criminal conspiracy. But even on that end reported on how Gates stated that Trump indicated email dumps from Wikileaks “were coming”.

Meh, whatever. Mueller seemed totally ok with “no collusion”, “no obstruction”, all a big lie narrative too, didn’t he?

Those are the only words that matter. He is a special prosecutor. Its not his job to write a new Dossier of ******** opinions.

That’s not what I want from Mueller testifying. I think it’s important for him to testify so that no one can elaborate on his (or Barr’s) letter or summary in a manner that goes against the facts uncovered.

I don’t see, or believe that Trump should be impeached. I do however want Trump haters, Trump loyalists, and all those in between to understand the truth about this situation. One extreme sees Trump as a Putin puppet, the other paints the investigation and suggestion of Russian collusion as a lie. Neither are correct - both feel justified in their narratives. Mostly because people are leaving gaps in findings and making generalized assertions.

If you can't tell the difference, you need to go back to junior high.
Are you positive such a move would constitute ‘going back to junior high’? For some (many?) such would represent major forward movement .

Barr released the report after the letter was written. You can read it. Those are Mueller’s thoughts and findings. If you’re telling me, after reading it that you still can’t form your opinion or Mueller wasn’t clear, then Mueller failed to encapsulate his views in all that print, that, or you’re an idiot. The letter is OBE to everyone except those still clinging to hope that some magic bullet scenario will happen. You all are deluding yourselves...one more time.

Once AGAIN and AGAIN, proves these Wing Nuts are not interested in what’s best for the country. Instead of celebrating the President and administration did not Collude with a foreign govt or Obstruct Justice, they are hoping against hope and reality with a death grip on a fantasy caused by DTS.

I’ve formed my opinion. People on both sides use the lack of concise definitive evidence as fuel to allow their chosen narratives to burn on.

Magic bullet? Pffft. Mueller gave me more than I thought he would, trivializing and minimizing was Barr’s intention (and maybe yours too). I just don’t want it to be as easy as not reading a full report in favor of a 4 OG summary.

No disrespect intended, but none of the folks on this message board know what was/is going on in Mueller's mind about Barr's summary-letter, other than speculating about Mueller's subsequent communications. Barr said someone will have to ask Mueller. So do it. Whatever he says, he says. If our elected representatives from both parties do their jobs, they will ask relevant questions (not political showboat speeches in the guise of questions) that will help us, the public, learn what's going on.

Mueller did the Report as Special Counsel, under the supervision of the DOJ. There is an unspoken protocol here involving communications between two lawyers, Mueller and Barr. For Mueller to memorialize in writing concerns he had about the Barr summary-letter, that typically means something in and of itself. Lawyers do that to put someone on the spot and/or protect himself. He could have picked up the phone and called Barr, or he could have sat down with him and discussed his concerns. To instead send a letter (knowing that as a government document and odds are it would eventually be seen by the public), is likely significant.

It's troubling that Barr testified he did not read even one page of the evidence gathered by Mueller. That dereliction alone makes Barr's conclusions worthless. Yet he says he accepted every fact laid out by Mueller (no, those were not his precise words). Which means Barr accepts everything Don McGhan (sp.) said about Trump's obstructive efforts. McGhan lays out a more-than-sufficient case of multiple obstructions. The question of whether he engaged in criminal conduct is a separate and distinct question from whether a sitting POTUS can be indicted for criminal conduct.

Significant to me is that Barr testified he expected Mueller to make a decision on whether there was criminal activity by Trump. By the wording of the Report, Mueller apparently did not feel that was his job. With that new permission from Barr, get Mueller in front of Congress and garner his opinion on that now that his supervisor (Barr) has asked for it. Mueller could say yes or no as to criminal activity. Then we can start toward some sort of closure on this, the path depending on what Mueller says. But right now both sides are simply spinning their wheels in the mud, and slinging mud all over the place..

LOL......What is more troubling is that you have no clue what Barr and Mueller have discussed about the report. After all they went over the report in depth when they were making the redactions.......I'll await Mueller's testimony. In the meantime.......keep trying to fit your square peg into your round hole.

Muller is a political animal, every appointed official is! Every special council is political in nature. When he did not find actual illegal conduct, he did the next best thing, frame his findings in such a way as to keep hope for the liberals to live another day. Do you really think that if he had enough to implicate Trump, he would not have done so?

The fact that he knew that there was no collusion a year before the report was released is all I need to know about his true intentions.

You're a complete idiot. This guy (The Dunedein) is an attorney and offered very insightful, and spot on, commentary.

Use your brain for once. They didn't even sit down to redact the material until after Barr had offered his 4-page "summary" (March 24th) and after Mueller sent his letter to the DOJ (March 25th) stating his consternation with Barr's summary.

There are very few critical thinking skills used on this board.

Coop was spot on in his comment yesterday - Barr and Mueller should have sat down together to craft the summary to be released by Barr. But even more telling, Mueller had summaries at the end of each volume, already prepared. Barr could have used those, word for word, but didn't.
