The only worse picture there could've been is if he'd sent them infected blankets on purpose. The state of NY failed to protect their elderly. That's on them, not anyone else. That's one reason their mortality rate is higher than the rest of the country.

And it was this type of disaster that led to the preparation of the extra hospital space which you are now calling a waste. Hindsight is nice but it does need to be understood. You nuts don't understand squat, ever.

You have to stop it...or at least read the articles. Just this weekend, Cuomo said he did not know that the state was forcing nursing homes to accept Covid infected patients...it is proven they let the fox in the hen house. So much for knowing anything...

I guess you didn't read of people dying on gurneys in hallways before they could get a ventilator. Read some first hand accounts from the front lines during the peak. My "survival" comment is accurate. Why would anyone listen to you anyways like you're some kind of public health professional or other qualified person. The article I posted in another thread throws cold water all over your half baked theories.

They Cherry pick stories and then sensationalize them with a bunch of editorializing and thinks that is a complete picture. Freaking morons. And most of them have denied for months we even had a problem and now say Cuomo didn't handle the problem they used to deny being real. It is dizzying.

100% fake news...people waiting in the hallways waiting for a vent? That happens often...it happened in 2018...it happened in 1998 when our child was born...They had flu patients in the OB wing...that does not mean anything

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is in the process of shuttering the much-touted, 2,500-bed Javits Center – having treated only around 1,000 patients over the course of more than a month – The Associated Press reported.

On Thursday, the heralded Navy ship – which was equipped with 1,000 beds and intended to take the burden off other hospitals and treat non-coronavirus patients before finally taking on a handful of those with the infection – sailed away, barely used.

The three additional field hospitals Albany spent many millions on erecting in late March are yet to close, despite treating few, and are standing idle in case there is a second wave of the disease.

Construction firms earned $136 million to quickly erect the Stony Brook field hospital – paid for from the Army Corps of Engineers budget.
Another $116.5 million was spent to spring to life a field facility on the Old Westbury campus, complete with top-notch features including hospital-grade welded linoleum floors, multiple layers of insulation, electricity, telephone infrastructure, plumbing, Wi-Fi, showers, bathrooms, and staff common areas.

In April, coronavirus patients at a Brooklyn nursing home were denied admission to both of the medical facilities established in New York to handle victims of the pandemic even though beds were mostly empty. The snub, as highlighted by the New York Post, came weeks after New York health officials were warned by the nursing home operator – where 55 people have died – that there was a grave concern, and requesting patients be transferred to the temporary facilities.

The USS Comfort treated 187 patients. It's better to err on the side of safety/caution than to be on the other side. Would you rather we have been in a situation where we were deciding which patients would get to use a ventilator and which ones would not? I shouldn't even have to say this.

Here is how a good politician would position this story instead of having their worshipers calling it a "waste".

The president would say based on the leadership and coordination with the governor of NY and NJ, the number of cases were leveled off in a much quicker timeline and the projected need of additional hospital beds were not needed. I am very proud of my administration and all those involved that responded to my call to action to get the Navy ship in the harbor of our greatest and most vibrant city in preparation of the worst possible scenario. But thank goodness plan A worked very well and the additional beds were not needed. Always remember, I am here for all the citizens as we keep winning these battles.

I never complained ..........I simply pointed out some "waste" of resources.......plus I never said it was all on Cuomo except for paying triple the amount for ventilators that he never received.
