If you watch this game and not think that Pope is one of the worst coaches In basketball, you look with your heart and not your head. We won this game by the heart of 3 players, mostly playground type of plays. Even Charles Barkley and all the people that know can see we don’t run an ounce of offense, we don’t share the ball and can’t play defense at all.
What exactly do you think barely squeaking out a first round win over a ten seed is supposed to make the haters “take”? It was as close to a loss as you could get. Should it inspire confidence somehow?

I watched the Iowa State vs Texas Tech game last week. They are going to be a handful and a half. I am not saying we can't beat them, but it will take our best effort and best game of the season to do it. They are a really good team

They suck on defense though. Not that we're great in that area but they can be scored on.

There were no timeouts taken after the 25 second mark for Sendek to tell them that. SC had a 2 point lead at that point. Herb Sendek doesn't know at that point how it's going to play out, and that his team will hit a 3 with 2.4 to go to take a 3 point lead. Could the SC coach have taken a TO after that 3 and told them to foul? Sure. Of course, UK is going to have to fire up a shot within those 2.4 seconds, so that's a really small window to foul without fouling someone in the act of shooting. I was watching the Pistons and Cavs a month or so ago, and a Cavs player fouled the Pistons player about 70 ft from the basket while the Cavs were up 3 with a couple of seconds in regulation. The Pistons player knew he was in the process of getting fouled and was able to heave a shot towards the basket. He hit the three FT and sent the game to OT. You could foul before the ball is inbounded, but you may give up a rebound off the coming missed FT with 2.4 seconds left. Today, it took a 40 foot bank shot by Oweh to get the game to OT. There's really not much Sendek could do, right or wrong in this situation.
I guarantee you that there were guys here who put money on Santa Clara to cover. BTW, your memory is better than mine. Do you remember if people here were this angry when we needed a Brandon Knight buzzer beater to beat #13 seed Princeton?
