Completely rigged. Hose job. In all of my sports watching life have never seen anything so blatantly rigged.

western Michigan needs to sue NBC, NCAA and B1G to appeal the outcome of that game. Completely stolen from them. Unbelievable.

Oh btw we never overturn games because 99.9% of the time it’s subjective while controversial. This game was clearly over. Might be the first time ever where there wouldn’t be any debate and a clear cut winner. Assuming rules were actually followed.

Exactly, because usually a call isn't that black and white AND the last play of the game.

The blatant calls against Iowa in the bowl game.... Had other plays after them. So you can't go back and change the calls and change the "direction/moment" of the game.

In fact the refs did this. Michigan just ran the extra play they were given. Sucks big time, but any school would have run the play if the refs did that. Still the Bronco's got screwed without question....

Yea.... Fortunately Iowa will never be forced to get another shot at a win like that, because we AREN'T getting that call....

There is concrete picture & video proof that the the players' hands and the ball are at least a half-yard apart with nothing but zeroes on the clock ......

but somehow it was ruled on replay there was a second, or less so, time still remaining when the ball was touched.

That's indefensible. It was criminally a wrong call.

I need to let it go and move on, but damn it is still boiling my blood.

Someone should sue. Seems to work for everything else. Maybe a district judge from Ohio that loves MAC football?

So I've been reading that when a CFB clock hits triple zeros, it doesn't mean there are no fractions of a second left. We, the viewers, are not allowed to see the fractions. This is most likely what they are going to say. However if the WMU defender jumped from inbounds, then that argument is moot, his airtime would've eaten those tenths.

I'm honestly just as mad at the WMU defensive coach for not ordering his team to hold receivers and prevent that midfield catch, given the CFB rule of PI not being a spot foul. Michigan would've had the ball at their 35 or something with like 6 or 7 seconds left because the QB would've had nowhere to throw and ran around more. Sometimes it makes sense to commit penalties, we've seen NFL teams do mass holding + intentional safety late in games to prevent the other team from getting the ball back with time.

I was upset when I went to bed and more pissed off after sleeping six hours. The Micheaterans did it again. Refs were on the take and BIG officials did't want one of their conference darlings going down. The game college game is rotten to the core.

I agree but would that jeopardize the huge payout to come play in the Big House?

I looked it up and found this. Sure seemed like a long one second.

So that video is from the officials discussing the 1 second remaining?

So they have a magical clock that doesn't sync with the stadium in Ann Arbor or the broadcast?

They released that video awful quick.... never got that for Coopers punt return did we!?

The fix was in. We all saw it. Looks to me like the BIG conference is in bed with Michigan. They couldn't afford another BIG loss to the MAC. Lost total respect for Pettite and his merry band of thieves.

As a long time Big Ten Conference fan, I'm disgusted. First it's the Coop booth replay call against Minny, now this. Is replay better when they can intervene to come up with the result they want?

No, it's not. Watching other sports with video review, it's really just become a way to legitimize rigging by putting a veneer of official authority on subjective decisions. Either video review should remove all subjectivity or it needs to be scrapped.

I watched a CBS football crew discuss the review, and one of them said (with skepticism) that we were supposed to take the BIG's word for it. Unbelievable.

This was the same football crew that called out the officiating and result of it.

I guess the B1G's replay clock is next to a black hole or something. I don't have any other explanation for why it's so far behind the broadcast clock or the stadium clock.

Big Ten Network is dedicating 25% of their air time over the next two days to replaying the Western Michigan vs. Michigan game. Yes, they are showing it 12 times in the next two days. They're going to air it three times in a row a couple times.
The NIU-Iowa game is nowhere in sight.

Every other media outlet, sports podcast, and talking head is saying that was total BS. The BIG screwed up and won't abmit it. Super secret clock in the bowels of the BIG's headquarters showed a second on the clock. This is out of a Maxwell Smart movie, what a joke. Embarrasing for the conference.

I see the MAC conference appealed to the NCAA. Surprise, Surprise - they can't overturn because there is nothing in the F-ing rule book. Like anybody believes the NCAA would do anything against the cheaters from Ann Arbor. Western Michigan won and Michigan lost! Nothing will convince me otherwise.

The Cooper call was awful but this was worse. I have little confidence in replay now.

Yep, NCAA says per the rules that they can’t change the result of the game after the refs call the game over.

Which is straight BS. I guess that means that we didn’t forfeit those victories that Cade played in because the score was final once the refs called the game over. Add those back to Ferentz’s total because the NCAA doesn’t allow the results of games to be changed.

If the NCAA says they can’t correct things that were absolutely wrong, then they have no reason to exist anymore. College sports is just the wild west of different conferences battling each other over who is the most corrupt.

I can understand them filing an appeal just to get it on record, but everyone knew its not going to alter "the outcome".
