Nah man this isn’t one of those outcomes where you can say well if this just happened instead. WMU won that game, they did exactly what they needed to. They got ******.

They did get screwed. The game was over.

Still could have got a first down or undoubtedly had a play that takes longer than 2 seconds. You can't allow a hail Mary... ever. Just unacceptable.

The NCAA MUST overturn this though.

Would be really nice if the NCAA would do the right thing and make me feel that there is still hope for the human race.

Overturn this BS
As much as I want the overturn because its the only right thing to do ....

If the NCAA or B1G does the right thing, a judge who wears the Maize & Blue will make a ruling that overturns the overturn.

(looking directly at the Baton Rouge judge ruling to allow players back in from the NFL ranks after all the conferences vetoed it, for LSU & Kiffin's benefit)

I was googling to see if the conference or the NCAA could overturn this.

AI responds and says, NOPE. If they determine the clock was at Zero...the most they will do is issue an apology. They won't change the result.

AI went on to say that the refs use different videos and "Hawk Eye". And they saw 0.04 seconds left...

How the F does Google AI somehow know there was 0.04 seconds left? Guess the gambling and cheating goes that deep

There isn't a chance in Hell the NCAA would overturn a victory for one of their blue babies.....

I don't think there is an official source for the 0.04 second thing, some reddit poster just made it up. The conferences or the NCAA will have to issue some kind of statement.

i believe you. i didn’t watch this game, only read the posts, so i’m sure any outrage i feel isn’t nearly enough

Just watch the replay.... Where the clock hits ZERO several feet from hitting the hands of the defender that was out of bounds....

Somehow magically there's some system that had 0.000000001 seconds left when that ball touched the defender.

Took all of 15 seconds to "review" and put one second on the clock.

Hope Oklahoma puts 100 on them

Yeah, clock was clearly at 0:00. Not close to being disputed. I know it won't get overturned but it absolutely should.

Can't wait for Game day signs with the double zeros and that screenshot of the ball in the air.

I feel the rage burning hot over this travesty. Could you imagine having this BS happen to your team?

I would take the undeserved win and immediately move on from thinking about it - CFP is king now, after all - but if Iowa benefited from this type of direct thievery it would make me feel dirty. Even as just a fan.

Years ago I might not have felt that way, but after all the legalized betting & NIL & letting players come back & unlimited transfer portals & allowed extra years to stay or transfer all over & judges/courts overruling institutional rules & everything else that's ruined the game that used to be worth following .... collegiate athletics does not occupy my time & thoughts as it once did.

I will always be a Hawk fan, but other than loosely following the B1G, I generally neither know or care much about the same sports in general. Too much crap now involved.

I hate saying this because it wasn’t a fair catch but you could at least see where their stupid *** argument came from. This situation was much worse, there is literally ZERO claim to say there was time left. If any game was ever to be overturned it would be this. It literally was black and white there wasn’t time left. There isn’t fractions of seconds in college football, 0.04 is the same as 0. 0.9 is the same as 0. The game was over.

IF M plays like they did today Oklahoma will mop the field with them. Anyone notice that Michigan plays 6 of their first 7 games at HOME, and has 8 home games and 4 road games this season? Crazy

Absolute garbage. Game was over. Good news is Iowa is going to curb stomp a top 10 Michigan team in a few weeks.
Lolol.. "top ten Michigan"? They'll be lucky if they don't drop on Monday, then in a week they get Oklahoma. They better be A LOT better by next Saturday.......

And the announcers said their clock in the broadcast is the same as the stadium.

The stadium IS the official clock. Not some voodoo replay system that the official in New York has.

I mean, if the teams aren't using the STADIUM clock.... WTF are we even doing

Can we see a replay of the stadium clock showing 1 second left when that ball went out of bounds?

Amazing that there isn't video evidence

The booth analyst said the clock the refs were looking at may not be synced to the clock we see. WHAT???

No chance they drop on Monday. Probably will go up because no one pays enough attention.

Also, even if there were a few tenths of a second left, why would the game clock round down? Wouldn't it wait to show zeros when time completely expired. Someone is really going to need to explain this, even though a a game clock should not be that complicated.

Convenient that the refs utilize this "Hawk Eye" system for games so it helps them in this type of situation, but you never hear about it at any other time during a game or any time at all.
