I’m an hour south of Charlottesville, just plan ahead if you’re coming as it’s not a metropolis and lodging will more than likely be scarce. This link will give you an idea what to expect on game day:

Wow. Idk why but I was thinking a lot bigger. Pretty tiny place considering all the big names that have come from there.
For reference Lexington has a population almost 7x bigger.

Nothing close either, all metro areas are over an hour away. Best bet would be on the west side of Richmond or make a mini vacation out of it and stay in Williamsburg which is pretty cool.

So, we are 6 and 3 against Virginia but have only played them ONE time since 1966 and we lost that one in 2002. If you had asked me to guess how many times we have played them since 1966 I would have probably said 4 or 5 times. I can't believe that we have so rarely played a team that was in the national spotlight a number of times over the years that is so close geographically.
This is a big reason I like the matchup. That and VA should be a quad 1 game for us. Always found it very odd we never play them.

I LOVE seeing that duke has to go INTO FLORIDA! Man oh man! I know duke is very talented but I look for them to get absolutely annihilated in that game. It’ll be rockin down there for duke!

They had to go with Duke/Florida though. Outside of Duke last year the ACC kinda stunk. Florida is the presumptive preseason favorite?
We deserve Duke at Florida, especially considering that Florida went to Duke last year and they're both Top three. Alabama might hang 130 on Miami. Florida gonna chomp to #4 anyway

When are we finally going to see Duke @ Kentucky?

It's the one game the NCAA keeps ducking.
They intentionally made Kentucky and Duke either play at home at the same time, or away. Besides, Florida is the premier program in the SEC, and Duke is the premier program in the ACC. The only way this works is if one of the two teams play on the road in consecutive years. If it's Kentucky, then the earliest Duke could come to Rupp is in 2028-29.

I’m close to Charlottesville too. I plan to go if tickets aren’t too pricey. They have a nice facility ( much smaller than Rupp). Seats are all decent.
Should be a lot of fun. Go Cats.

They won’t ever match us up with Duke. I just know it. Total BS. I don’t even want to play in this if that’s the case.

Duke got back to back home games which threw off the rotation. I doubt they ever gift UK back to back home games, little lone making Duke come to Rupp. One can hope, but it's more likely we get sent to Cameron sometime down the road.

2023 - Duke played AT Arkansas
2024 - Auburn played AT Duke
2025 - Florida played AT Duke
2026 - Duke is playing AT Florida

I've been to a lot of state tournaments in Charlottesville, but back when it was held at University Hall. We went there a couple of years ago for a weekend getaway while visiting family in East TN. It's a nice town and a beautiful area.

Florida is not beating Duke
On this board, even before the first practice, there are many who make predictions with absolute certainty. Many of these initially felt that it was an insult for UK to have to play UVA in light of UVA’s record last year and number of returning players and the fact that this may be their first true road game.

This is one part prediction and one part hope. But Florida lost a one point game last year. They will be better, I'm not sure Duke will be.
Duke was also up 14 that game and it took Boogie Fland hitting shots that he never does to make it close.

Planning to make the trip! Have always wanted to see a game out there
John Paul Jones is a great arena. Went there for the Duke game the year the Cavaliers won the national championship. Duke won the game because they made an uncharacteristic 13-21 three pointers.

Arkansas at North Carolina
I like UNC in this one. Arkansas has a rather weak frontcourt (Bowser is a 4 and Muurinen is more of a 3 right now) and UNC has the more experienced backcourt.

Auburn at Clemson
I'd flip this one too. Clemson lost their top 7 players and didn't replace them, while Auburn is bringing back their 3 best players.

Wake Forest at LSU
If LSU gets their players eligible, they are gonna be a tournament team. WF is not.

Alabama at Miami
I'd flip this one too. Miami has some nice transfers in Lewis, Dorn, and Cyril, plus Henderson will be a star. I think Bama is overrated. Oats will be relying on several 4/5-star sophomore and freshmen guys, plus Brandon Garrison. There is no Philon, Sears, or Shackelford to carry them.
