They should fully commit to the checkers. Checkerboard pattern covering the entire uniform. Same unis for home and away.

I totally agree with the sentiment that UK basketball is the Red sox, Celtics, Yankees, Alabama etc.... we should have classic uniforms and then wear one offs occasionally. as someone posted the classics we wore in 2005 that were throwbacks to the 70's i really like as an option. I also like these few.

Finally I'll throw in the football uniform and helmet we should be wearing at least once a year.

I loved the 2002 100 years of UK Basketball throwbacks to 1950's i tried to find a better picture but couldn't go look up 12/14/2002 game against michigan st on ukbasketball live for best look at them.

If uniforms are the issue then let's go back to the 40's and 50's. Rupp won four NCAA titles wearing the same pattern. If we change back, change to an age we were dominant.
I definitely think they would play better in clean uniforms. Damn I had no idea they hadn’t been changing them. Barbaric
We have had great games in terrible unis. That said I wish we had something more minimal and old school.

Nike made a retro uniform back in 2014 which I think the team only wore once but they looked really nice. Hopefully this is the last year of the checkerboard.

They’re the worst we’ve ever worn. And we’ve not had much luck at all since we started wearing them. Time for a change and now is the perfect time.
Just remember one of the talk shows saying the university bookstore had all of their checkerboard uniforms on the clearance rack which they normally do when the jerseys are changed. Not saying its a given......or a done deal....but.
