theyve got shooters all over the court--- and yikes, that Koulechov kid can knock em down!
Florida incredibly good in transition and a very fast shooting offensive team. It will be interesting to see how they do when playing a team that really settles in defensively and makes them work in the half court.

We'll split, at best, with UF.

Brace yourselves, we are going to lose some games in the SEC.

That's not going to hurt us, though, with the SEC being very strong this season.

Florida should win the SEC this year. So many good basketball players. Reminds me of their 2014 team that lost to UConn in the Elite 8 when they had the PG that looked like Prince.

91 points with 9 minutes to go.
They look really good in this game for sure.
Opponent isn't top level but still impressive.

Come on 15 of 22 from three. Stanford is garbage garbage. Iupfw would beat them right now.

This is only the second complete college basketball game I've watched so far this season (UK/KU was the first). Was only going to watch some of the first half, but Florida is so fun to watch, I couldn't turn it off. Still watching now. The Gators might score 115. I'd almost forgotten what uptempo basketball looked like.

I have a bad feeling that they'll play Duke in the championship of this tournament and go something like 3 for 28 from three. Please God let me be wrong.

Florida looks good, A&M looks very dangerous, Arkansas looks good, Tennessee might be a lot better than most of us realized, Ben Howland has recruited well to State the last few years and they will be much better, South Carolina will be tough and physical like they always are, and Alabama and Georgia looking solid as well. SEC could be one of the top 3 conferences in the sport this year. We’re in for some tough battles on the road, so our guys better be ready to lace them up and bring it for 40 minutes.

Lol!!!!!' Well yeah...., it's the ability to make shots that makes em good. They seem to have a bunch of shooters.

Agreed but no team shoots like that night in night out. That may well be there best game all year ya know. Apparently every team who has a win thats good is world beaters. You can easily make the case Florida will win the SEC and it will be way better and help our seeding more. Ill be interested to see how they continue to play especially against Duke and top teams.

I’ll be watching them in person tomorrow night. I’m hoping against Gonzaga. That should be a team that shows their halfcourt O better.

That's what I am feeling as well. They feel like our 2003 team to me. A well oiled skilled team who will either, A.) Have a tourney game where they are ice cold, ala a dome game. Or B.) They meet a team constructed like ours who is so big they can't do anything about it.

I can't remember what game it was I believe UNC last year. Charles Barkley said as soon as the two teams walked out I knew the game was over because UNC made them look like a middle school team size.

Watching Florida and TAMU I get the feeling that the SEC will be decided among those two teams. Unless UK's defense can make some pretty incredible progress I can't us being able to stop either of those teams. Too many weapons.

Gonzaga has 33 points in 12 minutes against Ohio State right now (and given up 31), so a Gators/Zags matchup has the potential of a lot of points being scored. You should see a good one.

$9 ????? Wow! That's crazy.

By the way, I said OSU had 31 points with almost 8 minutes left in the first half. They just scored for the first time since I posted that -- two minutes into the second half lol.

We've played by far worse teams than Stanford, and haven't come close to looking as good as Florida.
Take the blinders off.

I never said we did. The point stands if we shot like that we would look just as good. Is that hard to understand?

It's not hard to understand, but it's waaaaay overstating the obvious. It would be like me saying: If I hit a baseball like Giancarlo Stanton, I would also look like an MLB powerhitter.
The point is, uk doesn't shoot or have shooters like Florida. I don't think many teams do. That is why Florida looks as good as it does.

When Cal decides to retire Mike White should be near top of our coaching list.

When Cal decides to retire Mike White should be near top of our coaching list.

His trajectory suggests he wouldn't be a bad candidate. But if he is in that position, it means he really re-built Florida. He doesn't seem the type to bolt to a rival--- and has a ton of kids and ties to the area. He had appratebly turned back a bunch of ovatures before jumping at Florida. It was apparently a job he really wanted. Anyway, I agree with your suggestion, but would think it a long shot.

Hey mr. OBVIOUS don't you think Mike White should win something before we hire him?

No it would be like Stanton hitting against a middle school pitcher. Because it was a combination of a really **** team and them playing out of their minds. I bet you they don't look that good again. That is the point.

Who are you responding to... me?
If so --- you may want to re-read
my post and notice words/phrases such as "trajectory suggests" and "IF he is in that position...".
Yes, I do think he would need to "win something" before being considered for uk. And that is exactly why I used the words and phrases above.

Sincerely,
Mr. Obvious

ok.
I think another poster already made the correct point. Many teams, including uk, have played far inferior opposition to Stanford and haven't looked as good. Heck, if you draw an analogy of Stanford to "middle school pitching", what the heck has uk early schedule been??
But yes, it was one game and perhaps Florida played out of its mind---- and maybe because it was "just Stanford".
I'm sure we will find out. Personally, I'd love to see them beat Duke, but doubt it happens.
