We are better without Wandale because it forced Frost to come up with something other than smash the little guy between the tackles. I’m afraid if he was still here, Frost would still be doing that.

It is great to see all the excitement, but Wan'Dale is Kentucky's top WR, and Kentucky is 5-0 after just defeating #10 Florida. Yeah, I am quite sure he has no regrets transferring.

I don't see the comparison...2 different types of players. It's better that he is NOT here because he wasn't being used right (like he is at KY).

If he was still here it would have hindered the development of players that's out there now because Frost would have kept forcing him the ball and NOT TRUSTING other players!

I've said it over and over, we HAVE NFL TALENT, HAD NFL TALENT.....you just got to DEVELOP AND USE THE DAMN NFL TALENT and don't play and coach SCARED!

No and no. He's a gadget player that can make a few guys miss. Frost made too much of him to the detriment of other players like Betts

But he has a big play each game. Kentucky is using him appropriately. He's not a 20 touch guy.

He appears to be happy at Kentucky with limited touches and a nice ypc average. So why, if he had stayed, and Frost has the weapons he has now, would he be anything more than an additional weapon?

Wandale is not a good player to have your entire offense revolve around, as it did during his time here. You just don’t break out into open space much when the defense is keyed in on you.

He is a tremendous player when he has talent surrounding him, as he would this year with us. It’s too bad he’s gone but oh well, we have playmakers. The line has been the problem.

It's not either/or. They have different skills and are vasty different athletes.

I think Wandale was more mature and ready to play early. He isn't nearly as fast, but is quicker and makes people miss in space. Betts has more straight ahead speed.

I am disappointed that Wandale left, but he's playing very well for Kentucky against SEC competition. It may turn out to be the right thing for both Nebraska and Robinson.

The Robinson’s exercised the only control they had, which was to transfer. I think up until maybe just now, Frost’s stubbornness has been costing the team. If Wandale was still here, Frost would still be featuring him. Which isn’t wrong because he is a great college player. But we wouldn’t have as many game highlights for other skill players, so what we have in some of them may not have been obvious.

But you are writing it as if it were fact.

The year before Spielman had more receptions.

From 2020 to 2021 his rushes per game dropped almost 3 carries per game he went from almost 9 per to almost 6 per.

The simplest answer is Betts, as he is actually on the team. That said, we would no doubt be a better team if Wandale was, and wanted to be, at Nebraska.

The dude is a stud. There has been a lot of hate on this board about his abilities and how he would hold up in the SEC. Through 5 games he has proven the haters wrong, leading a 5-0 Kentucky in receiving and a big win over Florida, who a few weeks ago went toe to toe with Alabama.

At the end of the day, Wandale left and based on his success this year, made the best decision for himself. As a fan base we need to get over that and realize we have a lot of talent on this team that we should be proud of and cheer on. Here's to hoping they show out this weekend for a big win.

Kentucky had 224 total yards and only 87 passing yards, 65 of those and a TD going to Wandale. Pretty impressive that they pulled off the upset with that type of offensive output, but also tells me that "1 big play" was pretty important.

Certainly can't complain. Loved the deep shot AM took when he was one on one. Also, I think in AM's post game interview he mentioned they setup the option play during half time and Frost specifically picked Betts to be the guy.


Random side note.... how did Northwestern come into this game unprepared for the option? Very strange for a typically well coached team.
