I will say that the Wake AD reached out to everyone that bought tix thru the school and told them to thank Rutgers fans for coming. I had at least 4 groups thank us for coming.
Yeah OK. Like longevity means anything with regard to todays attendance. Please enlighten me more.
To answer your first question ... I do. The answer to your second question was in my post, but allow me to repeat it. The lack of a WF fanbase at today's game was probably the lack of interest in the game itself.

For years, Wake has been the smallest D1 playing football school. 20-30 years ago it had only 4400, or so undergrads. Just looked it up. They now have appx 5400.
Impressive what Clawson has done there. Just like it was when Jim Groeb coached there. When you go up against schools like UNCheat and NC St, who have zero academic standards for their football players, impressive indeed.

Uh, they "were" a basketball school. It's been quite awhile since they made much noise in men's bball.
I think that they have the smallest student body in the FCS or, perhaps, at least in the P5 schools so not a large alumni base to draw from. But Jax is not a long drive from NC and the Gator is one of the best bowls they've ever been to.
The attendance was just 28K and change. Approximately how many RU fans were there?
I got tired of hearing that. Took it as, thanks for playing so we can win easily and celebrate our great year.
Their favs seemed fine for the most part. Just thought it was hysterical that, after getting everything called their way, they didn’t understand the ruling on the intended helmet-to-helmet penalty.

This thread is pathetic. Delete your account, @AreYouNUTS. The stadium looked empty on TV so it's not like Rutgers fans showed up either. Maybe that's because thousands of flights were cancelled, including mine.

Re: the overall crowd: (I'm probably completely off but) i'd put the RU fans at about 4,000 I wouldn't put the WF crowd @more than 8-9,000
Was VERY proud how SCARLET showed-out for this game............ and RU was as loud or louder for most of the game.........
As far as the WF fans... super-nice people over all. (a couple younger guys gave a little crap) - other than that they couldnt have been nicer overall....... Most were grateful and thankful to the team for playing and impressed with the size of the crowd that showed..
I got nothing but nice things to say about WF fans.... just wish we could have disappointed them a bit more...

They sounded pretty loud to me whilst we were receiving our whopping(SP?).
Then again I was in a somewhat altered state due to the morning's activities.
