Dick is the king of making absolute statements and he is far from 100% accurate. He has no way of knowing Cal is going to get it fixed, he’s just flinging **** against the wall.

However, one thing he did do in that statement, is he put it all on Cal by admitting "this team is too talented". Yup, you're right, Richard, it's not the players, it's Cal.

Vitale is a coach cheerleader. I'm not surprised he said this. I'd be more shocked if he actually piled on. I would love to see this team turn it around, not for Cal's sake, but for the team and program's sake. I just don't see it happening.

From what I see, it's not just bad coaching, it's players who can't perform under pressure, which is bad anywhere but will especially kill you at UK where the lights are always on and every opponent always plays at maximum.

It’s weird that fans expect guys like DV to echoes their sentiments. They are all part of professional network where high profile sports figures and media members scratch each others back. Sure it’s admirable when a media member gets hard after a coach. But they are cutting their own throat in the process. Look at Matt jones. Cal cut him off and it hurts him professionally even though he don’t admit that

He does for sure but his dial is always set on support for his colleagues and over the top optimism even to the point of unreasonableness sometimes
