Purdue, Northwestern and Wisconsin would like a word with you. Just another team.
SCILS. I really don’t get what your point is? The talent on this team stinks thanks to Dud and TrAsh. Vedral is not long term answer . Doubtful he’s the guy leading us into a New Year’s Day game . Probably not sitkowski either. That guy is probably a kid in hs right now .
We all know this . The team this year and next year will most like not make us proud to be fans or alums . That is obvious and no one expects anything out of this team. We need to enjoy the progress and reserve judgment for way down the line . What’s so hard to understand?

Agree with that. My post was initially just an assertion that if Vedral doesn't show something today then it could be his last start. It may not, but in a shortened season where he hasn't been good it could be. Especially because Greg has a quick hook based on his history. As for all the other nonsense about the quality of Indiana, that's because people were taking my point about Vedral and running wild with it.

We'll see what happens today! I think we'll play better than people think!

I will not lighten up when it comes to defending players that played for this school. I will make this perfectly clear as well. If you say"#freeRettig" comment in the context of a QB controversy debate and he is around, he will not appreciate this. If this hashtag continues to appear again and again on this board after the kid graduates and is now a Rutgers alumni, it does not reflect well on this fanbase.

And you KNOW all of this how? Do you know him personally? I don't but I believe he would know the spirit in which it's being used.
Thanks for your opinion.

Is that your excuse for QB's playing well for Big Ten teams such as Purdue and Northwestern?

Look, I love this team and this staff and 100% believe in them. I have an issue with this QB after what I've seen based on the fact he's a veteran grad transfer. We'll find out more today.
A veteran QB is much different than a grad transfer this year. Imagine Vedral playing with the same players for 2 or 3 years compared to 2 or 3 games. Big difference. Now add in as others have said, no Spring practice and zero OCC games.

RUBob, there are more than a few pretend Rutgers fans. Some have been on here for years and years posting almost daily their anti Rutgers comments.
While true, that's avoiding discussing the idea that Vedral should have been pulled last week. (which does not mean he shouldn't start this week.. that's a whole other discussion.. and there, clearly, OC Gleeson will put out there whoever he thinks can do the job best. But during a game, it might be hard for him to make that decision.. to pull his QB.. that's where someone else has to do it.)

well, that's the problem.. it could be used multiple ways.. none of them exactly complimentary.

My prediction thread days before that game was one of the most widely read and commented on, nobody predicted an RU win on it besides me.
Really? I’m on this board quite a lot. Never saw your prediction Svengali.

And who do you want at QB?

This board hasn't changed for years. After any loss we hear the calls to replace the QB. I think we need a bigger sample size and have to remember the poor OL we have, along with WR's that can't get separation most of the time. Brand new offense and no out of conference cupcake to help get his feet wet are also contributing factors. Playing Ohio State is also not going to be a good gauge of his progress.

We can talk about Rutgers QBs not producing all we want
The truth is , it's been a long time since RU had a QB we all thought was competent and deserved the job.
Tom Savage , one year then lost his job.
Chas Dodd, tried hard but wasn't considered deserving.
Gary Nova , good Gary couldn't overcome bad Gary
Chris Laviano., not many fans
Artur Sitkowski. , not ready for prime time and sitting now.
Giovanni Rescigno , everyone liked his effort, but didn't think starter material.
Johnny Langan, tries hard would be best description.
Noah Vedral , probably a stopgap measure until someone can be found .

Good summary of recent RU QB’s. I believe that we get a true playmaker at QB after we show some results on the field in conference play. Lots of work to do before that happens imo.

For those silly posters still basking in the glory of a 16-point loss to an ok Indiana team, Vedral needs to show something today. Bottom line. Coaches and players know what that means and he simply hasn't shown it to date. Schiano didn't bring him to RU just to simply be a placeholder. Yes, we will likely lose by a decent margin, however, this isn't your typical good OSU defense. Vedral should be able to move the ball a bit and look somewhat competent in week three - especially as a veteran grad transfer QB. He isn't some deer-in-the-headlights freshman! Let's see what happens. I hope he does OK, but could we be watching....Vedral's Last Stand?
Nice to see the stupidity keeps on flowing.

Mr Langdon, I really like your son as a football player and he will factor in a number of games as he has already.
no one use OSU as a game you make these decisions on.
IMO - we do not have a QB on this team that is ready right now to do much better.
what I do hope but hope we don’t see...if there becomes true garbage time- get some of the other guys in there and let’s see what they can do.
Otherwise- try cheering on our players
If this is true, this explains a lot of things lol.

Develop Vedral? He's a veteran grad transfer and this is a shortened season. The coaches want to win games now despite what you think. This is big boy football.
Have you witnessed to poop show run by Frost at Nebraska?

How so? You can look up the thread and see for yourself. Carry on, troll...

A lot of people picked MSU in the prediction thread. Everything you say is just plain wrong. Indiana is very good and Vedral is playing well all things considered. You don't have a clue.

Dude there is a long list of positive posters. To say you are the most is disrespectful to Rutgers Al, myself and a boatload of others. Being positive about an upset win is night and day different then bashing our starting QB who has played all of 2 games with his team ( and had zero spring practice).

We’re playing the #3 team in the country on the road. Is Sitkowski really a better option? Trust Schiano

Love ya Birdie but you're clueless. Please post after today's game and breakdown Vedral's performance for me. Thanks.
What does my breakdown of Vedral have to do with what I posted? Plenty of posters picked RU. Not just you on your own thread.

Wrong again. Several posters, including me (and @MrsScrew ) called the win. Multiple others in the OFFICIAL prediction thread as posted above.

I agree with OP if he pushes his agenda to next week against Illinois. Don't think we should judge anyone against OSU. But that seems to fit his agenda.
