Most seniors who are decently smart don’t need anything by senior year. Athletes take summer classes to get ahead every year as well. Some graduate in 3 years.

Sellers, a senior sport and entertainment major at South Carolina, is set to graduate in December. Although he's eyeing a successful NFL career, he said he has his sights set on what he could do if professional football doesn't pan out.

"If I don't end up doing engineering - I've always wanted to do engineering (or architecture) - if I don't do that, then something around stadiums, laying out blueprints, drawing up blueprints, and stuff like that. Or facility management," Sellers said.

This is a Rhodes Scholar candidate here, folks

I cracked up when I read that. Pretty sure you have to have an engineering degree to be an engineer 🤔

This is like incredibly rude and offensive. Why would a very successful person and quarterback be forced to cut grass for a living and not work in a football related field? He’s also got enough money to invest very well.

He’s literally got a bachelors but youd rather him spend all of his time trying to get a 2nd useless degree and not on football (which is his job), seems like you just don’t like Lanorris and keep trying to move a goalpost

Some people are just dumb and jealous. The kid has made millions and will make more in nfl. Also comes from a good family. Let him enjoy an easy year since he did the work to make it easy

I'm not jealous nor do I hate the guy. 😆

The NFL is not a guarantee.

He stated he wanted to be an engineer if the NFL doesn't work out but that's not what his degree is in. Maybe he doesn't understand that.

I think the NCAA rule is he has to be enrolled in 12 hours. I guess he could be majoring and turf management and enrolled in a 12 hour course that is on the golf course, but there has to be some kind of instruction and feedback to him.

the NCAA offers an exception for a student in their last semester prior to graduation who is registered for all the credits needed to graduate

This is a sports message board. I think most people comment on "random" players. By random do you mean like an SEC startingb QB that we play this season that's projected to get drafted? It was in an article that was written. It's not like I heard about some Dlll 4th string kicker that I started a thread on.

I know pretending that these are Collegiate athletes at this time is ridiculous, but doesn't the ncaa require you to take some classes to compete? Graduate degree classes?

Internships generally count as 12 hours. At my college it was 9 for the actual internship and 3 for a "class" that never really met and u just journaled about internship and maybe some bs discussion board online.
